For the 700th time. It's not about biracial couples, per se. It's the overabundance of them in advertising because everybody wants to get on that bandwagon. Does it upset me personally? No but it is noticeable.

I imagine that it bothers some. But it's OK to make an observation on a political forum especially since forced diversity is the new thing with everything. Diversity is fine. Forced diversity is starting to pervade everything from standards being lowered to racism.

The most utterly ridiculous commercial out right now is the NyQuil Honey one. Not because it's another white husband and his black wife (who clearly has a bad cold) but because when she thinks he's trying to get some she doesn't immediately start cussing him out.

What? Honey? Get off me mother f***er. What part of I feel like **** and can't sleep made you think I'd be in the mood ass****?

Make that commercial and you'll move some product.

I don't think it really bothers nor offends pretty much anyone. It's just so dumb and it's only getting worse. It's literally turned in to the most predictable joke in modern history.

What I still find even more entertaining is how good looking most of the women are and how beta their husbands are. That's even less believable than 90%+ rate of mixed race couples. About the only commercials left showing manly men are for State Farm or F150's.

This is true. But that's going along with the whole men-are-stupid thing that you see an advertising now as well. They're all inept, they're all stupid, they all can't get along without some strong woman. It goes hand-in-hand.

What is forced about this? Nothing.

Kroger has been terrible for years. Dirty. Little to no service. Primarily standing around trying to funnel everyone to self checkout.

I prefer the self check out. I like HEB better but sometimes we'll go to Kroger because it's closer. They redid the one near me and Bryan, it's very nice now. But they usually have plenty of checkers, I just rarely use them.

A only complaint about H-E-B is that they won't let you go in the self-check out if you have over 10 or so items. Kroger doesn't care.

They mainly do this because it lets them have a commercial where both white people and brown people can see themselves as the target consumer instead of making two different targeted ads

My wife is black/hispanic. My kids skin color is as white as mine.

It terrifies the heck out of some blacks & hispanics, based on their reactions in public.

Those reactions dont's happen too often fortunately, and by too often I mean no more than once each time we leave the house, and go out to walk around in "public."

ETA: I do feel a bit bad about taking pleasure in their reactions, but at the same time they started it so that's their problem.

I agree with all the posters on here rightfully giving crap to all these snowflakes.

I mean…when has it ever been a bad idea in a society to downplay, misrepresent, or straight up try to erase a particular demographic's presence?

There's no way that would ever lead to, or help normalize a negative connotation or exclusion of such a targeted group in a society with further ramifications, right?

The strange thing about some of these commercials is it often shows a white guy with a black woman. That isn't necessarily weird but the fact that most black women don't go for white guys is interesting. Not to mention the left out slavery argument that white guys raped black women that the Left is so adamant to tell everyone.

Yet here is a commercial from Suburu with the white "understanding" husband being "patient" and not knowing how to raise kids. ….without his black wife who gives him instruction

Maybe it isn't about race.

The newest one I picked out tonight during the Cowboys game is the black dad with the ginger mom and the pretty dark kids. Best Buy. Wife and I had a good chuckle. I really like how "white" they make the black dad dress. Literally, my 79 year old father dresses like that.

Also the new one for Lexus, I think. Beautiful family. My 15 year old asked me if it if it were cool for white guys to marry black women and I told him hell yes when they look like that. Cause, I'm a smart ass that way.
