I get that an opportunity to criticize a Democrat can't be passed up, but I admit I would be a little surprised if the majority of posters on this forum actually supported the ban on menthol cigarettes. It's not a topic I've given much thought, but my first impression is to be opposed to a ban.

I was attempting to highlight the absurdity of this administration, Democrat politicians and talking heads' willingness to play the race card in an attempt to influence public opinion or score political points. I'm simply pointing out that the administration is backpedaling in its own policies out of fear of retribution at the voting booth from the same people this policy was meant to protect.

Let me guess, delay until December 2024.

Dems, including their dear leader, have always viewed minorities, particularly Blacks, as inferior idiots who must be controlled. From plantation to inner city domiciles to prison, to government assistance to regulating things all designed to keep them in chains, both virtual and physical.

So in 2023 we've decided that we need to ban cigarettes because they're bad for you, but at the same time, we're going to legalize marijuana nationwide because…well just because.

Great, outstanding leadership we have in this country. Just superb.

Would the OP be in favor of an outright ban on cigarettes? If not, why would you ban some and not others? While we are at it, do you want to ban alcohol? How about fast food and candy?
