No words needed. Worth a look.

This documentary is mind blowing! I also bought Liz Collins' book about this which goes into even greater detail.

Better watch close to home. Amarillo is currently pretty conservative, but they have a Somali enclave from what I understand, and it was not something they asked for.
It's a Catholic charity just bringing them in and not doing much follow up. The gangs then get a hold of them, and well, you know the rest. Crime is way worse overall than when I grew up there.Burdizzo said:

Yes she was a prosecution witness and as a two year rookie fire department EMS, Judge even allowed her to be qualfied as an expert! She was hostile to the defense counsel while on the stand.Logos Stick said:aggiehawg said:

I have a Q hawg. I did not follow the trial and I know you did intently.
That female firefighter. What was her story. Was she a prosecution witness? Her demeanor on the street was pretty confrontational.
Yeah, about that. Defense counsel Nelson gave notice he wanted to introduce that Police Manual showing the picture and the written description of the MRT through his use of force expert but asked if he could have it admitted so he could cross the prosecution's police witnesses wih the actual manual. Cahill would not allow that.Logos Stick said:
Of all the lies told, the one by the police chief is the most egregious imo. They had official training manuals with MRT described in them.
Three of the four people involved pleaded guilty to federal civil rights violations (Chauvin) or aiding and abetting manslaughter (the rookie officers). It is well nigh impossible to get a conviction overturned when you chose to stand up in front of a judge and enter a guilty plea.HoustonAg2106 said:
Will there ever be any true justice served in this case? Can the Supreme Court overturn and get these guys out of jail?
To keep from being put in gen pop in a state prison...as a cop.YokelRidesAgain said:Three of the four people involved pleaded guilty to federal civil rights violations (Chauvin) or aiding and abetting manslaughter (the rookie officers). Perhaps you might have a clue that all of these cops are targeted to be shivved in prison. But a fed prison has more supervisors and less chance to murder cops.
That is how it used to be. But the guy who tried to kill Chauvin was an FBI informant.
Chauvin was being held in protective custody in the Minnesota maximum security facility, and presumably would have been for the entirety of his sentence.aggiehawg said:

It is appalling that the feds allowed him to be stabbed in Arizona.
So, solitary confinement in a state prison is what you would prefer for yourself?YokelRidesAgain said:Chauvin was being held in protective custody in the Minnesota maximum security facility, and presumably would have been for the entirety of his sentence.aggiehawg said:
