I know missionaries in Spain. This topic is much deeper than the current headlines. It goes back to the Franco regime and his use of the Catholic church to strengthen his power and to oppress his opponents. Spaniards are very suspicious of organized religion of any type.

Most communist revolutions have resulted in burned churches and murder, rape, castration, and genital mutilation of priests and nuns. Spanish antifa during the civil war dug up the corpses of nuns for public display and mockery.

Not going to happen. To many religious pilgrims to Spain and Portugal.

The rosary is a set of standard payers (60+ total) recited aloud or to your self. You do not need a physical "rosary" to pray the rosary, my mother would use her fingers. The rosary is a repetition prayer that allows a person to meditate, clear their mind and open it to God's will. The communists cannot take that away, ask any Pole who lived through the Soviet and Communist government.

Missionaries in Spain? Missed their opportunity by about 600 years, Muslims were forced out by then...

I'm not Catholic but might want to read up more on what the Socialists and Communists were doing to Catholics in the 30s. There has always been a Leftist element in Spanish society intent on destroying Christianity.

Yeah, Franco really got in the way of the Marxists raping nuns and burning down everything with a cross. Real shame
