When I read threads like this I am sad for most Gen Z's but I also know my sons are wolves among sheep. You can't fix them all but you have to start somewhere. Covid and parents who didn't focus on raising mentally strong and independent adults is a real problem for these kids. They grew up on their phones with instant access to dopamine hits of information and few had to learn how to overcome adversity. Those who can though are going to absolutely crush it but I still have hope some of the others figure it out, it's just they don't have a society pointing in the right direction for the most part so it's a big hill to climb.

Just like I know a lot of fellow Gen X and Gen Y that don't know what an ampersand is.

Since for this generation, they have only known it as a hashtag, I wouldn't use this a proof of the downfall of society. Now how easily they are triggered and the hate many of them have for work is another matter.

Every age demographic favored Obama except the over 65 crowd. Gen X was 52-46 for Obama. The under 30 group was 66-33. I don't know how you think it was Gen X that elected him. I would say it was the Great Recession that elected him.

Seems efficient. We literally now always have a calculator on us. Why not use it. Save those brain cycles for remembering to tackle and stuff.

Someone on this very site admonished me for using the "#" sign for "pound" a while back.

We have been screwed for a long time now as our history, traditions, and values have been under attack so it is not just Gen Z.

actually that was the millennials. They came of age politically when W was the boogerman and being a democrat was smart/cool/hip/whatever and obama was the best. Many of them came of age and can't let go of the worldview that formed them.
