Honestly I think the left knew that the country was on thin ice due to the stress from the Covid Lockdowns and was waiting for any spark to set a huge plan in motion to move the country leftward and hurt Trump. They saw this happen and they said "this is it, full speed ahead".

I wouldn't say he did nothing wrong, but he's certainly not guilty of murdering Floyd.

He held a "transitory" hold indefinitely while EMS was truant.

A fair man could make a case for an excessive force charge over his continued hold after Floyd's OD sent him unconscious - but that's about as far as a just DA would've gone.

I can't help you if you watched that whole video and didn't come to the conclusion that perhaps he could have taken his knee off the guy's neck sooner - especially when he was showing damn near zero signs of life.

Doesn't mean he murdered him, but to think what he did was what most remotely compassionate human beings would have done is absurd.

Ignorance is unbecoming. The autopsy revealed he died from cardiopulmonary arrest, and not asphyxiation. Regardless of how you feel about it, he didn't die from the knee on his neck. The fact that the coroner bowed to pressure and didn't directly attribute the cardiopulmonary arrest to the drugs is outright criminal. A man is sitting in jail because he is a coward and or corrupt.

When the blood gas report from the ER show Floyd had a high O2 blood saturation in the upper 90s, he did not die of hypoxia nor asphyxiation. His heart stopped.

Chauvin's knee, even if it had been on Floyd's neck for that 9 minutes (it wasn't) didn't cause Floyd's heart to stop. The drugs and Floyd's comorbidities did.

But let's review the myriad of prosecution narratives on the cause of death. They presented testimony about blood chokes, air chokes, chest compression inhibiting the heart from beating, epiglottis cutting off air supply causing hypoxia, etc. Anything but Floyd's unhealthy heart and large amount of drugs in his system.

Defense added possible carbon monoxide poisoning from the squad car exhaust. (Unlikely but why not toss it into the mix for reasonable doubt?)

The good result is it started a conversation and now race relations are the best ever… right!??
