Her origin story is that she was left leaning/liberal ideologically (because that's what she was told she should be) that began on a website called left leaning/liberal blog called degree180.com where she pontificated about how affairs are romantic, pontificates about why stay at home moms are bat**** crazy and espouses the belief that gender is a social construct despite later going on Dave Rubin's show and persistently using male pronouns to refer to Blaire White less than 2 years later (I'm not making a claim on what is appropriate, just pointing out that she is inconsistent, and doing manipulative and passive-aggressive reasons not because it's a perspective she genuinely holds).

She suddenly shifted from writing for the left-leaning/liberal blog to becoming a conservative when her project called Social Autopsy, that was designed to track and log online harassment of individuals so that you could tally up all the times someone "harassed" someone else online and eventually reveal the identities of people online, was tied up in the GamerGate controversy and she felt like some of the left-leaning/liberal individuals in the GamerGate controversy caused her to get intense blowback for her project being dangerous (Anyone seen Nikki Haley? Maybe they could team up, now you have Candace is criticizing her for that take and probably will never let her live it down).

She then rebranded as Red Pill Black, started making conservative content, being persistently vitriolic and aggressive in every avenue possible going on a full-blown revenge tour and whole hog adopting every mainstream/popular conservative talking point. She went on to tie herself to Kanye West and held onto that tie right up until the point that he espoused love for Hitler despite many instances of saying genuinely questionable/anti-semitic things (something that justifiably irked Shapiro). On the way she used what I would call dirty tactics against people who criticized her for unrelated things.

During the GamerGate/Social Autopsy fiasco she told a reporter covering the story that if he didn't stop "stalking" her that she would claim that he was sexually harassing her.

In the instance of Nicole Arbour they had some dumbass dispute over Chrissy Tiegen, but at the time of their "debate" Nicole Arbour was supposedly dealing with a stalker/threat to her safety and requested that Candace not bring it up while she was on her show, which she ultimately did and the segment that included it was edited out of the show. During the removed segment it was strongly implied that Candace had recorded their private conversations so that she could later use them as a weapon against Nicole.

Kim Klacik and Candace got into it over whether or not Juneteenth should be a holidy/whether Candace was actually in tune with black society and Candace responded by claiming that Klacik was as stripper/madame at a strip club.

Stephen Crowder got into it with Daily Wire over a contract dispute, recorded conversations with Boering and Candace used that as an opportunity to question Crowder's integrity (I agree, but hypocritical) and then made veiled threats that she would expose his ongoing divorce from his wife if he didn't step back in line.

Now she's into it with Ben Shapiro over whether or not Israel is committing genocide against Palestinians (they aren't, obviously) and then she's using her supposed newfound attachment to Christianity to garner support in her feud with Shapiro by quoting scripture that is not so subtly taking aim at Shapiro and then when called out for it she plays the "You're just a Jew that hates me because I'm Christian" implication.


I'm not defending the people she is attacking necessarily, but what I am pointing out is her willingness to use what I would consider morally questionable tactics to win an argument/protect her ego/curry favor.

To sum it up, I don't believe she is grounded in any sense of actual morality/ideology. I don't believe that a person goes to bed one night believing that gender is a social construct, or that affairs are romantic and then wakes up the next day thinking that using the pronouns a person prefers is unacceptable and that conservatism is the answer. I think she adopts what she believes will garner her support in every way possible and morality doesn't enter into the picture.

Social Autopsy (she lies about the functionality/security of the site, but you get the intention behind it):

So in other words, she grew up and her views changed as she learned more about the world around her. Sounds a lot like most peoples path. Does it make her a bad person?

It's more that her views and core values vary fairly widely and change rather frequently over time and in circumstances indicating they may be less deeply held than circumstantially convenient. At least, more than most people. But, I'm one that considers the value of the better message being advocated over the particular personal motive where politics is concerned. It affects trust level, but a useful voice is a useful voice. Most people in politics have at least some self serving motive so I view that as a "necessary evil" to get motivated persons to move towards goals.

This of course will always breed infighting over who is the most pure and loyal to the cause or over motives for particular actions and words, but that's mostly showmanship and attention seeking for many of these types in the political class. Unless it involves some sort of serious corruption or betrayal, it's just show.

Shapiros appeal in the past is that he is always measured and analytical in his debates, since Oct 7th he is being driven entirely by emotion, its not a good look

He's a 100% of weasel he's an opportunist to solve an extreme economic situation that he could profit off of it.

I don't know the right answer on this many events are orchestrated because they want war.

There's lots of propaganda in this conflict and I don't have the answer at all aspects but I tend to lean to pro Israel blowing the s*** out of Hamas

And I believe that Gaza wants Hamas to be blown away too.

I find this whole thing to be a little strange. Does anyone really think that Owens wasn't referring to Shapiro/TDW whenever she posts a verse about serving two masters with no other context? Then she just says it was just scripture, despite not having a history of randomly posting it?

Then she goes on Tucker to say Ben is to the left and tries to flirt with the truth and imply he supported vaccine mandates. They obviously never got along, but her behavior is weird.

It's really just about authenticity/trustworthiness and whether or not she's a reliable actor. I can't trust her, because I don't think what she says is actually grounded in genuine belief it's just convenient because she gets attention for it. That works for awhile, but I wouldn't tie myself to a person like that because eventually they're going to step in some **** because they have one weapon in their tool belt.

I'd agree. I have a not trouble trusting that she believes what she says right now because that has varied so greatly and frequently compared to most people supporting a cause or movement.

I think Rubin kind of hit it. She wants DW to fire her so she gets victim points on the way out, but she is like George Costanza and too stupid to do it in a way that doesn't make herself look like an idiot.

CO lost her credibility with me by equating with genocide Israel's legitimate response to a genuine existential threat to its existence ("From the river to the sea").

She was a darling of the Republican party, until she outed herself as an irrational political opportunist.

All these anti-Israel protests and limp wristed soy boys screaming in the streets "genocide" need to look at what their communist comrades in China have done/is doing to the Uyghurs. Where is the outrage for them?
