The people with weakened immune systems are still pretty vulnerable to significant covid infection in some cases, but even in those cases deep lung involvement is pretty rare. I work with people who are on immune blockers or being treated for cancer so they take them to get some antibodies produced in their system.

I guess this is why all the football and mlb games I've watched the past week have been flooded with COVID vaccine commercials almost non stop.

One literally just started as I started typing this during the nlcs playoff game. Literally every. Single. Commercial break. So damn annoying.

2% is about the same % of people you see masked up walking about in public. It's pretty easy to know who has had the new booster, if the masks don't give them away the Subaru covered in TDS bumper stickers is a good sign.

My cousin was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer and he is starting treatments at MD Anderson hospital in Houston.
He said he was required to get the booster before starting treatments…

Just had my annual check up with my doctor. She asked me if I wanted a Covid shot. I told her, very politely (I really like her) No. She replied many of her patients are declining the shot and she was OK with my decision.
