How much would it take for you to transport a potential murderer/rapist/terrorist across the country? $1,400 sounds like a bargain.

Well, somebody has to be paid to do it.

Now if you want to argue cost, well, yeah, that's way too much per head, but also remember, the state is paying for an empty return trip. Still toouch per head though.

I am all for shipping them to other states, but I'd recommend putting them on low-boy trailers or in cattle trailers at much less cost. Food and water and a chair and they would be all set. Cost would be minimal.

Of course, Abbott (and others) likely get contributions from the owner or owners of the companies getting the $75 million just like the $1.5 million he got from one of the developers of the illegal alien sanctuary called Colony Ridge.

As has been previously pointed out on this thread, it's still cheaper to the tax payer than allowing them to remain here.

One trip to the emergency room for one of these illegals will multiply that sevenfold. Maybe more. $1400 is a bargain considering the alternatives.

There are many bus companies that transport the dregs of society on busses all over the country for a small fraction of this cost.

Regardless of anyone's feelings about bussing migrants in general, $1,400 a pop going to Aboot's buddies the Wynne's is cause for concern.

Okay, but bus tickets are way cheaper than $1,400. Why would we want to waste more money than necessary? That doesn't make any sense.

The cheapest greyhound this month i saw from el paso to NYC is $200 so I know that it can be done cheaper. Obviously greyhound will be significantly cheaper to operate than a smaller bus company, but I would be blown away if they couldn't get it done for half the cost with the company still making a tidy profit.

The Harris County Hospital District alone spends hundreds of millions of dollars a year on care for illegal immigrants. Now take into account new schools and teachers...

I'd rather see them all back in their country of origin, but until the federal government gets back to enforcing the laws of this country, it's money well spent.
