Looks like they're trying another angle to convince us to do something about climate.

change. Beer drinkers unite!!!!! Do your part!*

Climate change will change beer!

*then again, production will shift ever so slightly north and varieties will be developed to produce under warmer conditions if this is even true.

Not worried. I enjoy Mexican and Caribbean lagers. A little local production would be welcome.

20 or even 10 years ago you could never grow the corn crop that was grown on the Gulf Coast this year.

Don't forget cotton in the northern Texas panhandle. God bless farmers!

Yes, that's the ticket. Let's change beer production. We can add that to the list with outlawing gas stoves, electric-powered everything, lab-grown meat, and more windmills.

That's going to fix everything. Just ignore China and India.

They know the socialism they want means poverty for millions who are used to a comfortable, middle class life style.

Climate change is how they want to get you to accept the poverty they're forcing on you.

It's not that the elites are a screwing you over! No! You're saving the planet for mother Gaia by being forced to live in a converted shipping container, eat cricket paste and own nothing! Just ignore that the elites are still living in mansions, eating wagyu beef, flying on private jets, traveling in uparmored suburbans and own everything!

There might not be a big demand for those corn crops without federal ethanol requirements for motor fuels.

I generally find IPAs disgusting. However, on a whim I tried the new IPA offerings from shiner. Have to say I kind of like them. Friends of mine who hate IPAs agree

There is some sort of mid-Western obsession with IPA's here that I just don't understand. The craft brews in the area are about 2/3 IPA's. We do get Shiner up here, but not very many of the short runs that they are really good at. I miss Texas beers.

Unfortunately that obsession drifted in from the west coast and east coast. An IPA is easy to make because the only flavor that matters is the hops. The malt and yeast flavors are irrelevant. Making a good beer without hops takes actual skill. As a result most IPAs are a crappy beer hiding beneath the overwhelming flavor of a nickel that's been sitting at the bottom of the urinal at the Dixie Chicken

Floral IPAs, especially hazy, tend to be pretty good and something I like.

Old school IPAs that taste as if you're licking a pine tree suck ass.

I used to like the dark "west coast" IPA's, but can't stomach them anymore...and just a few of them give me a neck and headache the next morning that twice the amount of any other beer would not.

That being said, I think there are a lot of IPA haters that would like the "east coast" Hazy IPA's. I love a good hazy and find that I can drink more of it than the dark syrupy beers.

On a tangent...the Hazy seems more "west coast" style, while I would have always guessed the traditional dark IPA's were an east coast beer. Hazy's are great outdoor sunny warm weather beer, whereas traditional IPA's seem more ideal for sitting inside on a wintery day.

This is very true. I also like regular Pale Ale's better than a lot of IPA's. You get a beer that has a decent amount of hop flavor, but isn't trying to beat you over the head with extreme hop like it's a beer version of a biggest dick contest.

Porters and stouts are definitely good, but they're generally also heavy and best consumed in cooler weather.

Problem with Texas? It's rarely cool.

I have never put one of those nickels in my mouth, so I will take your word for it

But yeah, the hops covers up a lot of beer that isn't all that good. It also mimics estrogen and enlarges manboobs. See: Brewer's Droop
