I can handle the occasional moderate stance. There were moments when Hurd showed flashes of conservatism. The problem I had with Hurd is that at times when the GOP needed to stick together he was off doing his own thing. Wanna take a road trip with Beto? Go all Thelma and Louise for all I care, but when it comes time for border security, he should have been tougher.
