Threatening all your relatively neutral neighbors with retaliation doesn't seem like a strategy destined for success. As previous poster stated, they must know that an absolute ass kicking is coming and coming soon.

The persians threatening the arabs……IDF now getting multiple offers to use their airspace….mqybe even a remote airstrip.

The Saudis have no reason to feel generous towards the Iranians at all. Iranian proxies have been firing missiles and drones into SA for years now. The Houthis are Hezbollah 2.0, but aimed at the Saudis instead of Israel.

Didn't iran directly fire a cruise missile into a Saudi oil refinery a while back? Or was it an iranian provided missile that the houthis used? Either way, why the Saudis have put up with iranian BS all this time had been kind of a mystery to me. Is it just because they would need American assistance and we wouldn't provide it or is it something else?

Drone & missile attack from the north so it wasn't the houthis. Strike directly from iranian strongly suspected but not proven

I doubt it was Iran directly, possibly proxy forces from Iraq.

After October 7 last year Iran tried to wrangle all of the Arabian states together to form some sort of Muslim quasi-alliance to thwart Israel's invasion of Gaza and were essentially told to pound sand.

Hezbollah's latest leader; 'ok fine, we are ready to talk ceasefire.'

Israeli headlines show/claim that Bibi blocked (IDF Defense minister) Gallant's trip to DC, and demanded to speak with Biden himself, however. I highly doubt the Israeli's agree to fully brief in the US State/defense folks who want to be told in advance about the Iranian strike plans.

Biden administration officials throw a tantrum when Israel strikes a decisive blow to a mortal enemy instead of accepting a ceasefire to perpetuate the never ending killing of their citizens. They should have been high-fiving and congratulating every Israeli they could find. We're lucky to still have Israel call us allies at this point and we absolutely need them on our side in the ME. SMH...

Israel has leaned on the US more than they should have at times and you have seen a pretty big shift when Obama and Biden took office. Israel knows in the end they will always be on their own. The US will find out what Israel's plans are when the rest of the world does.

Ironic since they are doing work we would have to do otherwise, taking out our existential enemies, testing out new military technologies and tactics. Their cyber-warfare capabilities are believed to be the equal of ours albeit at a smaller scale.

This is especially intriguing considering that it comes from an organization that just wiped out another adversary's entire senior leadership, their replacements, and their replacements replacement in part with exploding pagers. What could they do where the iranians won't even understand what happened? Imagination is running wild!

So Stuxnet blew up the centrifuges years ago. Bombs were hidden in the construction of their version of AirBnBs for government buddies. And Pagers and walkie talkies were turned into handheld trackers and IED months before being unleashed.

They should be worried. What comes next should be entertaining. And should be keeping the Iranian and Terrorists awake at night very very worried. Terrorism is about making sometime terrified. The tables have been turned.

Agree. Asymetrical warfare when used against terrorists, makes me smile by their reactions to it.

As long as this is taking I can't help but think that the eventual attack is going to be underwhelming relative to what people here are expecting. I hope I'm wrong and they really do get medieval on Iran, but I have a growing feeling we're all going to be saying "Is that it?" I will be utterly shocked (but happy) if they even attempt to knock out any nuke sites.

The main challenge at this point is having to pull this off without the US telling Iran what's going to happen. Israel having to play chess on three fronts: Iran, Lebanon, and the US.

Even if it is underwhelming, the PSYOP and the observation of the Iranian reaction to it will be of great value to the Israelis moving forward.

I wonder if the Israelis are using that predictive AI that I've heard can identify criminals before they commit crimes? In this case, they're using it to predict the next leader of Hezbollah and killing some guy that doesn't even know he's up for a promotion.

Personally I don't think the US would want Israel to launch a cyberattack against civilian infrastructure. Too much risk of retaliation against US. I'm sure US has backchanneled to Iran that attacking our stuff would mean kinetic retaliation but they would probably use a proxy as always.

Being that the current administration warns Iran of attacks, it seems like backchanneling has stopped. Israel has figured out its them vs. everyone even allies. They seem to be acting accordingly.
