Quote:

That leads to Blinken's most arrogant declaration in the transcript … assuming he actually said this. Defense minister Yoav Gallant essentially told Blinken to pound sand, and Blinken got the message loud and clear (emphasis mine):
Quote:

Defense Minister Yoav Gallant: The entire Israeli society is united behind the goal of dismantling Hamas, even if it takes months.
Blinken: I don't think you have the credit for that.
Oh, really? Credit with whom, exactly? Biden? Biden and Blinken seem perfectly ready to extend an unlimited amount of credit to Hamas these days, and this is a perfect example. Blinken apparently doesn't even bother to credit the Israelis for taking clear steps to provide aid, corridors for civilians to retreat, and using surgical operations rather than bunker-busters to destroy Hamas infrastructure co-located in civilian buildings. After five weeks of careful operations, Blinken essentially blames Israel for all civilian deaths in Gaza rather than the terrorist quasi-government that is actually violating all of the norms of armed conflict and hiding behind those civilians.
I am so sick of the damn biden administration. Link. Keep in mind Hamas just requested, via more terror rocket attacks at civilians in Israel and firing at IDF in northern Gaza, a resumption of hostilities;

Quote:

That is, if Blinken actually told the Israelis that they don't have enough "credit" to fight Hamas to the finish. The transcript comes from the Times of Israel, which translated it from a Hebrew transcript leaked to Israel's Channel 12 News. Could something have gotten lost in translation? Perhaps, but it's not the only eyebrow-raising part of the exchange, either. It begins with Blinken scolding the Israelis for fighting the war Hamas started by conducting operations where Hamas hides itself:
Quote:

Blinken: You can't operate in southern Gaza in the way you did in the north. There are two million Palestinians there. You need to evacuate fewer people from their homes, be more accurate in the attacks, not hit UN facilities, and ensure that there are enough protected areas [for civilians]. And if not? Then not to attack where there is a civilian population. What is your system of operation?
IDF Chief Herzi Halevi: We follow a number of principles proportionality, distinction, and the laws of war. There were instances where we attacked on the basis of those principles, and instances where we decided not to attack, because we waited for a better opportunity.
Once again, the Israelis understand the international legal definition of "proportionality," whereas Blinken and Joe Biden are clearly operating under the definition preferred by Hamas and the Palestinian authority. "Proportionality" does not rely on competing death counts, but instead the calculation between military necessity and the potential for excess civilian deaths. Hamas uses civilians and civilian infrastructure to hide its fighters and operations, which is a gross violation of the laws of war. Rather than hold Hamas responsible for that, however, Blinken and Biden enable Hamas' propaganda strategy by attempting to instruct Israel that they cannot attack Hamas while it uses human shields in a war Hamas started.

From i24:

Hamas is reportedly still holding 137 hostages in Gaza
- 117 men
- 20 women
- 126 Israelis
- 11 foreign nationals
- 2 children under the age of 18
- 10 seniors over the age of 75

Not sure. I don't even bother to check on our propaganda/MSM. It's not worth it.

They are apparently just murdering some of the hostages now;

This is because I guess the Israeli's refused to release some of the terrorists/murderers who were apprehended a second time after being bartered for Gilald Shalit (abducted in the Gaza Strip). As a reminder, 1,027 criminals were released in exchange for his return. This was, both at the time and now historically, a horrible mistake.

Note that the parents/leftists/liberals blamed Obama/The United States broadly for failing to previously get him released at the time (2011);

Quote:

Netanyahu responded to a pilgrimage march, called by Shalit's father for his release, by saying he was willing to release 1,000 Palestinian prisoners in exchange for Shalit, but that top Hamas leaders would not be among those released. Shalit's father had previously blamed the US for blocking talks on his son's release.
Israel should never have agreed, in 2023, to a ceasefire in exchange for hostages being released.

My opinion: This cease fire and all the "aid" that was rolled in over the past week was really meant to smuggle certain folks out through Egypt. Once that happened Hamas broke the deal and IDF back at it. This pic of the guy was probably meant as proof he got out with others.

Israel has plans to eliminate Hamas and will take out its leaders abroad when the war ends, it has been reported.

Hamas leaders around the world could be the target for assassination, Israeli officials told WSJ.

According to the report, Israel has already started the preparation for targeted killings abroad.
Quote:

The Israeli officials told WSJ: 'The question now for Israeli leaders isn't about whether to try to kill Hamas leaders elsewhere in the world, but whereand how.'

In November, Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told a press conference: 'I have instructed the Mossad to act against the heads of Hamas wherever they are.'

During the same conference, Israel Minister of Defence Yoav Gallant said the Hamas leaders were 'marked for death'.

But not everyone is on board with the plan as former Mossad director Efraim Halevy reportedly described the plan as 'far-fetched'.

He added: 'Pursuing Hamas on a worldwide scale and trying to systematically remove all its leaders from this world is a desire to exact revenge, not a desire to achieve a strategic aim.'

Defund the UNRWA.

Quote:

The United Nations runs about half the schools in Gaza, in addition to providing a wide range of other "services" in the Hamas-run territory.

In the halcyon days of the Trump administration, the United States quit funding the organization, but one of the first things Joe Biden did was turn the money spigots back onbillions of dollars from the US and Europe.

Bad move. As I have documented before, the United Nations Relief and Works Administration for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) is a corrupt, Hamas-supporting agency that helps educate and recruit the next generation of terrorists whose goal is the elimination of the Jews.

There are countless examples of how evil the UNRWA isvideos of children doing plays in school where they mimic killing Jews, for instancebut few things can compare to this: a UNRWA schoolteacher was one of the hostage holders as was a doctor who works for the agency.

A teacher and a doctor. Holding hostages. Paid for with your tax dollars.
The only way that happens, is if enough of us refuse to vote for a Democrat ever again.

Netanyahu rebuffed Blinken on "buffer zone" for Hamas murderers.

Report: Netanyahu Rebuffed Blinken on Gaza Buffer Zone - Times of Israel

"Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told US Secretary of State Antony Blinken yesterday in Israel that the IDF will establish a buffer zone "deep" into Gaza after the war ..."

Good for Netanyahu. Take Hamas out now with extreme prejudice and tell Blinken to pound sand. The Israelis don't need America to tell them how to conduct their war or how to operate their security measures after the main military operation is over.

UNRWA storing rockets for Hamas: no doubt Biden bucks were used to produce these.

Quote:

The IDF struck over 400 terror targets across the Gaza Strip since the resumption of the war in Gaza, following a seven-day humanitarian truce with terrorist group Hamas.

Some 50 of the 400 targets attacked were targeted as part of an air raid on Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip, the IDF said. Israeli naval forces used precision-guided missiles to strike Hamas terror infrastructure, as well as naval equipment, located near the Khan Yunis harbor.

In the northern Strip, Israeli forces from the 401st Brigade struck down a terror cell and directed aerial fire targeting several terror targets in the Jabaliya area.

The IDF on Saturday uncovered dozens of Hamas missiles hidden underneath UNRWA equipment, it announced.

Dozens of missiles with varying capacities, as well as some 30 Grad rockets, were found and confiscated by forces from the 261st Brigade.

Hamas walked away from ceasefire negotiations in Qatar, which is probably the first good thing they have done.

The last video is a perfect example of westerners attempting to have a discussion of life while assuming this group of evil thugs holds similar values on life.

In my observations from afar it appears IDF intel is working at warp speed using all available resources, while C2 and operational assets are in a posture to take action with utmost speed once actionable intel is received.

We are supposedly to support Israel and a full stop was added after that statement was made.

Now it's making us look like a bunch of liars and dishonorable people.

Should have been qualified from the beginning that we only support Israel if they cease fire when we tell them to and if they get out when it is over.

Our sister site Townhall has picked up some interesting information about the private goings-on behind the scenes between Israel and its surrounding Arab nations, from a Haaretz report that perhaps says more about what the Arab nations truly think about the Israel-Hamas war than what they may be saying publicly.
Quote:

Publicly, some of them (like Egypt and Jordan) are falling in line with public opinion in their countries and condemning the civilian deaths caused by Israel's military response. But behind the scenes, almost every leader in the region, including in most of the Gulf states, is urging Israel to end the war only after Hamas is defeated, since they view the organization as a dangerous domestic enemy.
Quote:

The problem is the Palestinian Liberation Organization set up shop in Lebanon, where they caused problems for the government while also attacking Israel from the southern part of the country. Israel had to invade in 1982 and remained in Southern Lebanon until 2000. Egypt has closed its border with the Gaza Strip in Rafah due to terrorism concerns.

In the days after the brutal October 7 attacks executed by Hamas, Egypt knew what was going to happen. They deployed tanks to the border while their prime minister vowed that his country would sacrifice millions to keep their borders safe. He was not referring to Israel.
Quote:

When the Arab nations met for a summit in November, when some sought to enact punitive measures against Israel, those measures were stopped by Saudi Arabia and countries that had come together with Israel in the Abraham Accords, engineered by former president Donald Trump, as well as Egypt and Jordan.
Quote:

The demands were to prevent the transfer of U.S. military equipment to Israel from American bases in the Middle East region; suspend all diplomatic and economic contacts with Israel; cut back oil sales to the United States over Washington's support for Israel; stop Israeli air traffic over the skies of the Gulf and send a joint delegation to the United States, Europe and Russia to push for a ceasefire.

The resolution to adopt these measures was blocked by Israel's Abraham accords partner states the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan and Morocco. They were joined by Egypt and Jordan, two countries with long-standing peace agreements with Israel. Saudi Arabia, Mauritania and Djibouti also opposed the measures.

Meanwhile, per the IDF:

Quote:

IDF Arabic Spokesperson Avichay Adraee warned on X (formerly Twitter) the commanders of Hamas's Shujaiya Battalion ahead of the IDF's resumed military operations in Gaza, and presented them with two options: surrender, or end up like former battalion commander Wessam Farhat, who was killed yesterday in an Israeli airstrike.
"This is a final announcement, you are all targets. The IDF will act in the area to dismantle Hamas," Adraee wrote.
In addition, he noted that the commanders had two options: "surrender and lay down the weapons," or "deal with a fate similar to that of Wessam Farhat."
