wow- talk about being one of the luckiest people on the planet.



Private Ori Megedish, an IDF soldier, was rescued during the IDF's operation in Gaza on Monday night, the IDF and Shin Bet said in a joint statement.

She was kidnapped by the Hamas terrorists on October 7 and has now been reunited with her family.

A subsequent medical examination administered to Megidish has determined that she is healthy.

The statement noted that the IDF and Shin bet will continue to make every effort to secure the freedom of the remaining hostages.

As stated above a ways the Turks (who oh by the way are genetically Greek) hate the Iranians (and their proxies next door in Syria/Lebanon). Have since they were Roman/whatever and the Persians/Sassanian/Achaemenid/Assyrian etc.

Their distrust/enmity is way older than mere antisemitism. (Ironically, the Arabs and Jews are both Semitic peoples of course). Erdogan will rattle the saber/mouth off but won't do anything to Israel.

This is why we are seeing IDF tanks halfway into the Strip nearly bisecting it north of Wadi Gaza.

there are probably small hunter killer IDF units known as the "Mista'aravim"

who dress up as Hamas and are native Arabic speakers (as in the series "FAUDA") and they are moving around Gaza City taking out Jihadis and looking for the hostages.

The Turkish Navy is a pretty capable little group with a heli-carrier that also operates their naval Bayrktar drone variant a pretty decent sea lift capacity and a fair number of escorts and subs. I don't think they'd be able to force their way into Gaza which means sending land forces through Syria or Lebannon which would be a nightmare. Empty threat IMO.

notice some of the new top cover metal frames added to some of the Merkava MBTs as the Ukes and Russians are using against UAVs

so far, no mention of IDF casualties over the last 3 days in Gaza.

IDF attacking towards the coast to cut Gaza in half and isolate Gaza City from the south. This is why Israel has been pressuring Palestinian civilians to move south and away from that northern city. Moving will more safely separate them from Hamas which is apparently predominantly sheltering underneath the city.

HMS QE apparently showed back up in Portsmouth last night and the F-35s are still onboard. Speculation that they are taking on long term provisions and there are not any major repairs taking place. Perhaps heading to the eastern Med next?
