If they eradicate Hamas, they could use the money to clean up Gaza, give the remaining population a nation and be done with it.

Fake, but France is on high alert after an Islamist stabbed a teacher to death and wounded 3 others yesterday

Let's think this through

the absolute best strategy would be for the Israelis to order all Palestinian civilians to leave north Gaza

then Hamas will flood the area with terrorists expecting an IDF ground assault

instead, the IAF launches 4000 bombs and flattens every single building on top of the tunnels

two days later, the Israelis order all the citizens in the south of Gaza to move to the North of Gaza

then blasts the South.

don't even launch a ground invasion just keep moving the civilians around and flattening everything behind them.

build tent cities on the rubble for the women and children

Why does the US have to be involved with the resettlement of Gazan refugees..
I had a semi-answer for this in another thread:

The tied up Iranian billions were to be designated for "humanitarian aid". Perhaps the US could "redirect" these funds to create refugee camps in the Arab countries that "love" Palestinians so much. There's the humanitarian aid, and it's not at Iran's choosing, just their creation! Sure, it would be costly and would likely enrich some Arab go betweens, but who cares? It's Iranian money. We could even use the stinking UN!

Win-Win

only problem is that the Arab countries and the Muslim countries DO NOT WANT the Palestinians.

Women aren't docile creatures incapable of killing, and children grow up to continue the cycle. We're way too civilized to ever put and end to this. Same with our own border.

Cool map.

I visited Sderot back in July which you can see here is the far north of the Strip closest to Ashkelon which is an Israeli city on the Med Coast.

the Peace Rave festival was held far to the south, near the bulge in the Gaza Strip and about 2 miles from the border. so the Hamas terrrorists moving directly to their east into Israel would have cut the one north / south highway of escape up and down the line

whoever picked that location should be spending a lot of time in prison.

not only close to the Gaza Border Wall- but there were no Jewish communities between the Rave location and the Gaza Strip! just open fields/desert.

about the most insane place to hold a mass gathering of unarmed citizens in the entire country!!

Great listen IMO interviewing Dennis Ross who has a lot of experience in what is going on over there.

let's not forget that Dennis Ross was one of the major leaders and supporters of the Oslo Process -

giving over power to the Palestinians of the PLO to enter the Gaza Strip and West Bank back in the 1990s.

how has all that worked out for everyone? (other than for Hamas)

There will never be an end to this. You think the Gaza Strip is the only place with radical Islamic terrorists?

His viewpoints make a lot of sense IMO:

1) Hamas has to be removed from power in Gaza and significantly degraded. They can't be negotiated with and peace is impossible as long as players such as them are large and powerful enough to affect the larger picture.

2) Still work towards negotiating peace deals with other Arab countries like Saudia Arabia while offering reconstruction of Gaza (with new leadership/admin in place) in return for demilitarization. But before all of that, first have to remove Hamas, which unfortunately is going to be very messy and cost a lot of lives, both civilians and IDF personnel, in addition to killing the terrorists.

And the state of affairs in 2023 doesn't mean the Oslo process was not a step in the right direction. Nor does that mean any mistakes or directions taken after the Oslo process completely invalidate what those agreements intended to do.

That is just a recipe for more of the same, Hamas has to be eliminated not"degraded", and peace is impossible when those types of groups exist

I would expect most of the Hamas fighters to mix in with evacuating Gazans. Why do they care if Israel invades and occupies the city? If I was Hamas I wouldn't fight the IDF straight up. Their strategy is probably going to be to wait it out and when the civilians go back to their homes start back up with guerrilla style tactics and try to kill IDF troops.

Of course they don't, and not only will this "offer" bring their hypocrisy more into the light, but their excuse of "we can't afford the refugees" goes out the window with it.

All he was saying is it impossible to completely eliminate them. Even remnants of Al-Queda after 22 years is still around. But you have to degrade them to a point where they don't matter anymore from a big picture standpoint. Where They are not in political control of anything and don't have the organization or capabilities to conduct large scale terrorist operations. I think he is just being realistic. There are still always going to be some bad guys associating themselves as Hamas several years from now even after you flatten them. But you made the environment such that they have to stay creeping around in their holes mostly.

Well...isn't the solution to first cut out the cancer and then do radiation treatment???

Could there be an analog for Hamas?

That means the Iranian religious dictatorship must be eliminated. A much more difficult task.
