considering the Saudis spent years bombing the Houthis about FIVE years ago.

i don't think this is at all related to what the Israelis did

but the United States Air Force CENTCOM did also bomb Yemen yesterday

Everybody keeping up with the incredibly dynamic situation in the ME? We are living through events of historic significance.

-Al Qaeda (Sunni) and Hamas via Iran (Sunni/Shia) partner up to poke the bear. Significant loss of life ensues. Israel says "FO".
-Hezbollah via Iran (Shia/Shia) poke the bear. Hez "FO".
-Turkey openly challenges Russia during RUS Ukrainian power/resource grab.
-Turkey (Sunni) watches patiently & observes power vacuum left by Hez fighters moved back to Leb. Launches coordinated attack against Syria (mixed but significant support from Iran & Russia). Overthrows 50+ year dictatorship with help from Sunni extremists.
-US all the while supports Israel and Turkey (so long as they don't get too crazy). Paying millions upon millions to Al Qaeda/Taliban in Afghanistan (same group that worked with Iran to attack Israel). Suddenly normalizes ties with Al-Qaeda affiliates after they promise "not to be bad"
-RUS/IRAN lose strategic partner/location in Syria.
-ISR destroys majority remnants of Syrian military capabilities. Quickly takes over strategic high ground they've wanted for decades with for 0 ****ing shekels
-TUR and ISR now set up to dictate regional boundaries and security agreements.
-Whispers of ISR & S Arabia restarting/finalizing normalization via Abraham Accords. Iran and proxies still dangerous but reeling.
-Overland gas route from ME to Europe now fully feasible. Cuts out the evil RUS. Boohoo.

Brave new world.

Israelis in a somewhat unique position with Houthis. Don't have the same force projection as with Leb/Syr/Gaza since they can't leverage ground troops to same effect.

Relying solely on airstrikes not likely to be as effective.

It's Gaza that is commonly referred to as an 'open air prison.' Lebanon was a pretty nice little country until the Iranians started pumping their hate/weapons there.

IDF is cleaning up around Kamal Adwan hospital in (northern) Gaza, run by Hamas militants.
