I'm not exactly sure what, if anything, my grandma was on but I think her stint in the nursing home was about 6 months. They gave her this one drug (don't remember what) that really helped bring some of her personality back - but it didn't delay the inevitable - which came very quickly.
Jill is the real demon in all of this. She's beating a sick horse around the track until he falls over and dies.
