Spot on. You can leave the race part out though. It's the overall appearance of these people that make the profile and should raise your concern and caution level. In downtown Houston I've seen it more than a few times. Granted it is much less common. In Seattle it's the drugged out homeless variety that's more likely. My point about profiling and threat awareness still stands. And it's the argument that doesn't put us on the defensive. Remove the race angle and they can't shut down the argument by crying racism. If we can have that discussion then maybe we can have the one about why it's so much more prevalent in certain groups/cultures.

Zero sympathy if this guy voted democrat. And he certainly looks the part.
