Not sure why anyone would trust him to give medical opinions. The dude, for YEARS, promoted that smoking cigarettes was perfectly healthy.

This was decades after the medical community had started to publicize the health risks.

Clearly did not listen to the show. It was not an angry show at all.
No it wasn't. At all. Rush could go off from time to time but his show was genuinely positive.

What so many don't get about Rush, and will never get, is that his loyal fan base/listeners, over time, where not even tuning in for the politics or to exist in some self affirming echo chamber. They listened because Rush made daily life more enjoyable. And he was genuine.

LMAO.

I don't recall that but I do recall about two decades of him describing his formerly nicotine stained fingers.

That said, I can't even watch an NFL or college game these days without a commercial full of freak shows pushing some big pharma miracle drug to "keep your HIV undetectable". Whatever the F that means.

Irreplaceable.

His wit at this moment would be absolutely epic.
Meh...I miss Paul Harvey. He was irreplaceable and didn't need to work listeners up into a frenzy but rather made people feel proud (and nostalgic) to be Americans.

Paul Harvey was great in his own realm/time. Many great takes.

But I don't think he could begin to talk for a daily 3 hour show on his own and re-define AM radio optimistically while building a huge following of Americans.

Rush was a consummate optimist, terrific thinker, and a great humorist/entertainer all in one. He shared some traits with Harvey, no doubt.
