Good thing all of the "conservatives" voted for Abbott in the primary when it was clear as day he's just an establishment empty suit that only cares about his political career.

We had several choices to tell the establishment types to pound sand but during primary season all we hear from "conservatives" is we must vote for the incumbent because we are scared of the big bad Dem's.

The border problem is on Abbott as much as it is on the "conservative" voters that stuck their nose up at all of the primary challengers.

Abbott should announce executive decision on de facto Texas secession until the Biden Administration agrees to enforce federal law and STOP the invasion. If the Feds will not stop the invasion, then make it permanent.

Right..., we should force the abused half of the relationship to reconcile their issues with their abuser rather than discuss the logical solution that some ideologies are simply not meant to coexist under the same house.

Abbott is doing exactly what we knew he would do which is fail at protecting Texans. I only wish people would grow a pair and stop voting for establishment types in the primary and more importantly I wish people would stop bending over backwards making excuses for why the abused should just go along to get along.

Maybe instead of making excuses, we acknowledge that the governor announcing Texas is looking into secession so that immediate action can take place can also be a temporary action that gives the legislature time to have the vote.

Call it governor Abbott declares the emergency then immediately calls a special session. While the special session is determining whether to follow through or not, Abbott could be starting to fix the border.

We don't need more excuses to NOT take action. The issue needs to be forced and people need to start growing a pair and caring. It's not looking like people will have the balls though based on feedback.

You assume the world is black and white when you say your ideas are following the law and understanding reality when you are actually following a portion of the law and ignoring the other part that people are presenting. You are also ignoring the reality that the relationship is abusive and the federal government is ignoring their duties thus breaking the original agreement upon which Texas joined the union thus Abbott absolutely can take further action to do what is best for Texas.

Start killing the coyotes. Drone strikes on cartel bosses and upper management while we're at it...turn their compounds to rubble. If their families die, that is on them.

Aside from the internal cancer that is modern liberalism, this is the biggest threat we face. This is absolutely war, whether it's been declared or not.

And I am all for letting many Mexican and Central American nuclear families in...but those are the extreme minority when it comes to who is actually flooding our border.

Cut off access to all public benefits, welfare, subsidies, etc, and prevent them from being legally employed and this stops really fast.

We currently lavishly reward them for making the journey, in terms relative to their previous state. The left WANTS to overwhelm our institutions to try to collapse them and create an opportunity to insert their own ideology as the solution for desperate fools.

Start to realize that this isn't a "humanitarian crisis" and to see it for what it is, a political invasion.

I can't believe any of you actually think this will be stopped. The best that might happen is that it'll be slightly slowed from time to time just to give the impression something is being done but overall we will simply not have a border ever again. This is on purpose.

no. even under trump, who was good on immigration, the deportation was not that many in grand scheme of things.
