Apologize for asking this after all of these years but does "non-binary" mean the same as bi-sexual? Their door swings both ways?
Why the new term?

Can't answer that for everyone, but I have a "family member" (won't get any more specific than that) who, in her first or second year in college announced in a FB post she was "bisexual." Then, a few years later came out (or whatever) as non-binary, I believe. She has shortened her name (think "Patricia" down to "Pat", although it is far more masculine than that) and her mom buys into this bull**** and refers to her as "they."
I held her in my arms when she was a baby (have a pic which I really like); she will always be a her. I won't go out of my way to impose anything upon her but if she is around me, that's what I will call her. If she doesn't want to be around me, that's fine.

He's gay. There isn't a non-binary that's not gay. They're all gay. And that's fine. I don't care. But, they are.
They didn't just leave - they FLED Texas, so there's no coming back!Agsrback12 said:

Yep. Totally natural. Not socially driven at all by their whack job parents.
Especially the kids, bright future with genital mutilation in a few years. LOLKozmozag said:

Why should I spend the rest of my life in jail when I have my own family to protect. My job is to protect my family, let these people rot.TheEternalPessimist said:

I blame woke left urban and suburban women. Repeal the 19th already.
What about XXY?agent-maroon said:
"They" may not be able to self-identify their gender, but the rest of the world would have no problem doing it for them. Be honest - if you were handed this person's pic with no other information and were asked to identify their gender then you would take one look at the full beard and masculine features and answer "male" without hesitation.
"Gender fluid", "non-binary", etc. is just self-delusion and/or intellectual dishonesty with a better marketing plan.
XX - female
XY - male
It's been that way for billions of years with billions of species. Moving to Seattle doesn't change that in any way/shape/form.

These people are always ugly or not normal looking. Is it default now, when you get hit with the ugly stick you have to claim extra pronouns or sexualities???
The kid didn't let his hair grow out, his 'parents' didn't cut it.Quote:
Juliet started exploring her gender identity as a toddler (AS A ****ING TODDLER) by wearing princess dresses and growing out her hair. In 2019, 3-year-old Juliet told her mother, "I am a girl person, can I be your daughter?"
Quote:
Around this time last year, the twins and their parents Susan and Brian were fleeing Austin, Texas, to protect Juliet from a wave of anti-trans laws and policies in the state.
To protect their privacy, the parents asked that the family's last name be withheld, and that pseudonyms be used for their children to avoid transphobia and harassment.
Quote:
But by 2022, because of all the anti-trans policies being introduced in Texas, the family no longer felt like they belonged.
Quote:
"It doesn't feel good when your home state is making it so clear that they don't want you," Susan said. "It was like the conservatives decided to go for the jugular."
But the move wasn't easy. Juliet was initially so sad and frustrated about having to leave the only state she had ever known as home that she told her parents, "Just let them hurt me."
"There were a lot of things I liked about Texas so it was hard to leave," Juliet said, but, "I didn't want to get separated from my family."
Quote:
During "Meet the Teacher" night at the kids' school last fall, Susan nervously greeted Juliet and Keegan's new first grade teacher. She teared up when she saw a Black Lives Matter mug on the teacher's desk. That message one limited by some school districts in their home state was a "we're not in Texas anymore" moment.
"In Texas, you can get fired," Susan said. "You had to self-censor."
Shortly after seeing the mug, Susan opened up to the teacher about how the family had fled Texas to protect their trans daughter. The teacher was empathetic and reassured Susan she respected and would affirm Juliet.
"What we got was more than what we dared and hoped for in Texas," Susan said. "Even in the supposed liberal oasis of Austin."
Paranoia - a sign of mental illness. I saw A Beautiful Mind so I know. But the "reporter" didn't ask the obvious question - why would anybody report them and what would the authorities do? The truth is that nobody would report them because there is nothing to report since there's is no law preventing Juliet from being trans, nor will there ever will be. There are laws preventing adults from mutilating children however, but when those children become adults they are free to mutilate themself.Quote:
Susan still feared someone might report them to authorities if they knew Juliet was trans.

That's their gender identity, which is wholly separate from their sexual orientation, which could be homosexual, heterosexual or bisexual, depending on the individual.
