My mother grew up in a former British possession. She had never seen a black person until she was 16 and went to Dublin to visit the US Embassy in order to begin the immigration process. Even now in Ireland, there are very few black people in the western side of the country. You will see a few in Dublin and Belfast, but it's not common.

The left is race obsessed and therefore highly racist ideologically. They are so focused on needing to feel virtuous individually regarding perceived inequities that they will engage in any systematic racist or bigoted actions necessary to signal they are personally trying to battle the racism. Then ironically and with the great hypocrisy and obtuseness they possess in endless quantity, they attempt to correct the racism of the past using retributive racism in the present as their stratagem.

Second of all, much like the cleopatra issue, Septimius Severus wasn't black. He was from north Africa, of Italian and Punic descent. So....he may have had a tan, but he wasn't a brother. He was known as the first provincial emperor, but he wasn't black.

I'm truly surprised Moffat said that as it actually sounds like a sarcastic response and he's against this. Maybe that's the true reason why he's no longer the Dr Who show runner, he's no longer a true believer. The show went into woke overdrive after he left. I'll give the new Doctor a last chance, but I don't hold out hope it will change.

Shifting gears, this line of thinking is something The Hoteps have been arguing for a while, that everyone is a black descendant.

What's the difference in them trying to tell us Cleopatra (a Greek) was black? Or that the Egyptians were black? Or that Jesus was white?

The left denies that the Saharan desert divided North African from sub Saharan Africa and was a much more difficult barrier than the Mediterranean Sea, and that large European and middle eastern populations dominated North Africa for a couple of millennia, with the exception of some travel and exchange down the Nile and a scattering of older mixed origin populations long resident to North Africa. It wasn't until more extensive trade and travel networks were created in the late iron age that you had a substantial exchange of populations from interior Africa into Northern Africa and throughout various regional empires over time.

That isn't to demean Africa populations in any way, who had their own unique development and history, but much like large parts of Asia and the Americas, much of that history is lost because there were no widely used and preserved systems of writing in most of those cultures. Africa had it particularly hard due to substantial normal climate variability, lack of domesticable species, and prevalence of human affecting endemic diseases due to our origination and long occupation of that area. It was great for hunters and gatherers, but less ideal for agricultural settled civilizations geographically. There's no reason or need to write in sub Saharan Africans into other cultures histories to create some false narrative of participation. To me, that is just more mockery and condescension. Rather, why not spend the effort to research more of African history anthropologically and archaeologically, so it can be appreciated in its own right. It is the story of our early development, and it's later cultures have influenced our arts greatly in the modern age.

All of the modern DNA archeological evidence points to Homo sapiens evolving in Europe actually and then going to Africa to intermix with other hominids. Blacks came from that mixing. It's very obvious in the gene flow since Subsaharan Africans have around 20% of their DNA from a
mystery hominid while having no Neanderthal DNA while Europeans and Asians have Neanderthal DNA. Asians in turn have Denisovan DNA as well so the origin of humanity could not have happened there.

All of the earliest examples of modern Homo sapiens are from Europe at this point in time or Eastern Europe to be exact.

Edit - Basically Out of Africa is and always has been false.

The ad is a lot like the claim by many Blacks that the ancient Egyptians were "Black," when they were certainly "African" but not remotely "Black." Intentionally conflating two distinct concepts.

The ad seems to be intended to imply that SUB-SAHARAN Africans were present for all the referenced events (lyric "Black people played a part"), such as the Roman occupation. That seems unlikely. But there obviously WERE "Africans" present, in the sense of Mediterranean people from the continent of Africa.

For instance, Roman Emperor Lucius Septimius Severus was born in Africa (what is now LIbya). In seems unlikely that Roman soldiers and settlers in Britannia did not include people from North Africa.

Obviously, Africans of any type would have been a tiny minority at all times referenced in the ad.
