This was a trial on low level. Soros elected DAs through out the country are legalizing crime to clear the way for the FEDs to do this on national level some day to "save us all" from gun violence. The Gov will be rewarded for her part and loyalty to the party.

I agree with the trial balloon remarks.
This was an easy way to guage how much support the progressives would have if they tried it through executive fiat at the Federal level.
Turns out, even a lot of Dems recognized the the attempt to end-run The Constitution, so these evil people will slink back into their holes and work on a new tactic.
