....was convicted by an extremely biased judge, a jury pool from extremely biased DC, and prosecuted on bogus seditious conspiracy charges.

One day, we will pardon him, and we will start going after the leftists who brought death and destruction to our cities from coast to coast by prosecuting and jailing them.

Turnabout will be fair play.

I stand with Enrique.

He will be serving several years in prison.

You mean US District Judge Timothy Kelly, that was appointed by Trump? That extremely biased judge?

The sentencing has been postponed, judge is out sick.

Based on what actually occurred on Jan 6, do any of you Marxists celebrating this think 25 years is a little excessive?

Of course they don't. They think anyone that doesn't support the Democrat party should be rounded up and sent to reeducation camps.

Just statistical odds at this point. it's like saying "explain to me how this sociology professor is biased". Even most seemingly normal attorneys I have crossed paths with almost always turn out to be flaming liberals. Guys like you are the exception. I am not sure if it's law school indoctrination or what, but it would be hard to change my mind on this.

A judge in DC is very very likely to be politically biased. Is that fair to say?

Keep in mind. This is a guy who also supports Desantis. Quite concerning. Not saying all who support him think this way but it might explain the rationale behind the post.

I always hope that anytime there is litigation that comes up on F 16 it's with a Republican appointed judge, or even better a Trump appointed one.

That way the result can't be dismissed out of hand, and the starting point is the Judge is compromised if the result isn't the desired one.

Or I guess you can just try to slip it by everyone like the OP even if it is a Trump appointee. We're pretty clearly heading where we did with election results amongst a segment. The only way a Court can rule against the desired outcome is if it's illegitimate.

I strongly support Desantis (but will hold my nose and vote Trump in the general bc I would vote for a bucket of horse sh*t over any democrat). But even people who HATE Trump should not want to see this type of one-sided "justice" system where we lock up our political foes, while engaging in far worse crimes with impunity.

Are you referring to the summer 2020 protests? Over 10,000 people were arrested.

Including 300 federal cases.

The AP found that more than 120 defendants across the United States have pleaded guilty or were convicted at trial of federal crimes including rioting, arson and conspiracy. More than 70 defendants who've been sentenced so far have gotten an average of about 27 months behind bars. At least 10 received prison terms of five years or more.

Most DeSantis supporters, I would venture to guess, do not support these completely politically motivated prosecutions.

I say it again - we will liberate all of these people and then will come after, using the system, the Leftists who constructed this two tiered justice system. Including conspirators in the media who worked closely with the regime to construct false narratives and violate civil rights. You lived by the sword.... and ye shall die by it.

They're getting a terrorism enhancement, which automatically increases the base to a level 32 offense, which starts at a minimum of 121 months with no prior convictions. Then there's six levels for their leadership roles, and two more levels for obstruction, and you end up at level 38, which would be 235 months. He also has some prior convictions, which throws you into the biggest penalty column, and you end up with a very big sentence. Now, this is all what the government is arguing. His defense countered with that the terrorism enhancement should not apply, which would drop his base level significantly.

This is scary. Tarrio's co-defendant, Zachary Rehl, has given some interviews after his conviction in May. Now prosecutors want to add additional time to his sentence for what he said post conviction.

Supposedly seditious conspiracy. He was in the Capitol for a few minutes, took a selfie, and left.

But here's the deal, go into any prison and convicts will say they didn't do it, their trial was unfair, denied due process, etc. But they don't get extra time on their sentence for it.

Admittedly, I have not followed these Jan 6th trials that closely but Julie Kelly has. I've read some of her tweets of what the judges have said during sentencing and what they demand the various defendants say to the judge. Yes, showing remorse is something a judge can consider during sentencing and properly so. But many of those questions centered more on openly renouncing any support for Trump and asserting that the 2020 election was fair and free. Smacked of "have you been sufficiently reeducated to conform to our views?"

Guess I shouldn't have been surprised since most of these are purely politically motivated prosecutions but it still struck me as improper.

27 months? The J6 political prisoners have spent that long before even getting a trial.

You say 10,000 were arrested, then give 70 and 10 as numbers that were jailed. Pretty low hit rate...thanks Kamala Harris for helping fund their bail so they could get out and keep causing violence and destruction, like Dem Pols said they should.

That Trump Judge will be the first to go down in the glorious daydream of revenge.

Don't care about Biden? Then tell us who so we can work it into the fantasy. This daydream doesn't work unless there's a symbol you care about to punish. Jailing 100 million people doesn't seem realistic, but otherwise these fantasies don't amount to much.

Want to jail some antifa folk? Knock yourself out.
Going to tie some politicians up in lawsuits? Yawn.
CNN may get sued and have to settle for falsehoods it peddles. Good deal.

Oh we will rue the day, and it's coming.

Sorry, 14,000 people were arrested-

The 70 is just federal… most of these were state crimes…

Jacob Chansley served… 27 months. Seems pretty equal.
