Biden is clearly a crime boss and a dumb one at that. Trump is far less corrupt but has an insane ego that handicaps him. A person that thinks they know everything cant learn. Its impossible.

I hate them all, some more than others. No one should be looking up to any of these goobers in politics in a respectful way, all I try to do is pick the least crappy one. I couldn't ever imagine getting emotionally invested in any candidate of any kind, as so many do on both sides. Just do your job and leave me alone. If Trump ends up the best option then I'll vote for him again, but I wouldn't trust him to watch my house for a weekend.

A substantial number of people said in 2016 and again in 2020 and continue in 2024 to say we are tired of lifetime politicians who focus on their wealth-building grifting to line their pockets and perpetuate their power. That is NOT a path to destroy the Country, that is a path to save it.

However, libs, MSM, the fascist DNC, the Biden Crime Family, Soros/Obama ghost gov and their 81+ million followers combined with folks who value decorum over policy are the ones set to destroy the Country.

I often wonder what the founders' take would be on a solution to that, if there is one. I'm sure the press has always played favorites but it wasn't 24 hours a day almost inescapable like now. The idea early on that the press would be more of a neutral third party to keep government honest didn't seem to take into account what happens when the press just becomes a cheerleader for one side. I wish I could ask them what they think about it.

I hear you, but my point is that we keep electing the same people and those people aren't doing their jobs. Our system gives us control, but we relinquish it by re-electing the same failures over and over. We are part of the checks and balances we still naively believe in.

Campaign finance reform and term limits.
NOTHING short of that will bring real, positive change. And so, we can probably count on never having either.

And make no mistake-- both sides are corrupt to the core. They both serve the same corporate masters. I realize forum 16 likes to believe one side is absolutely dirty while the other side are a bunch of eagle scouts. But that just makes it easier for the "eagle scouts" to accomplish their selfish misdeeds.

Campaign finance reform will only increase the advantage of incumbency and will not solve the problem. We need to return to the limited government of the constitution. As long as government is picking winners and losers, there will be incentive to influence the government. The real money from corruption is influence peddling. Hunter Biden is not the only person making significant money because of his last name.

Term limits would help.

It's a terrible read on forum 16 to believe "(Republicans) are a bunch of eagle scouts" is a majority, or even a significant minority, opinion.

People who succeed in politics are very rarely worthy of office.
