The problem with polls is they come from so many different sources, and it depends on who they're targeting as they're voters. I don't really trust any of them. But if they're out there, I guess we have to pay them some heed.

Polls are like the weather forecast. Whatever they predict is exactly what won't happen.

Which is true.

Even if you had a good poll of Iowa it might not matter because it is a caucus

if trump crushes DeSantis in Iowa (which seems likely) The race is over Trump is the nominee

Maybe DeSantis ground game is outstanding and the Iowa Caucus goers back DeSantis and there is a race. It is getting late if anybody is going to slow down Trump

True, but polls still will directionally give a sense of how much support each candidate has relatively.

The real problem is that elections can now be manipulated to reflect the polls.....

The election is over a year away, what do you mean that "no one else matters"?

I'm still not buying these polls. Unless Republicans are much more stupid than I thought they were. This is a big scam. We're being setup to believe Trump is inevitable.

The problem is there is good likelihood that some battleground states with Dem legislatures or AGs will try to find some reason to keep Trump off the ballot by saying he is disqualified. The Dems are coordinated with indictments and legal filings. They are betting there won't be enough time for Trump to counter. I know its unconstitutional but unless SCOTUS steps in immediately, the election will be over by the time it works its way through the courts and the Dems will say "aww shucks."
