Fourteen major American cities are part of a globalist climate organization known as the "C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group," which has an "ambitious target" by the year 2030 of "0 kg [of] meat consumption," "0 kg [of] dairy consumption," "3 new clothing items per person per year," "0 private vehicles" owned, and "1 short-haul return flight (less than 1500 km) every 3 years per person."

I grew up in Houston, suburban west side, Spring branch school, District, Stratford high school, loved it. But I haven't lived there in 17 years, lived in College Station for 14 years now in the country in Bryan for three.

And nothing would ever make me go back to live there. I don't mind going for the day now and then, get an Astros game or meet some friends, but hell no.

They have also had a string of idiot liberal mayors lately.

I always wonder how this plan will play out. The govt starts rationing meat, electricity and gas. Your move. What do you do?

This is not really thought though all that well. How are the oppressed supposed to make off from the Kohl's or Nordstroms with designer hand bags if private transportation is not available?
The trains and buses are just not that reliable.
Need another solution.

Quote:

If C40 cities change their food consumption habits in line with the identified progressive targets, the category's emissions could be cut by 51% between 2017 and 2050 (Figure 19). The adoption of ambitious targets would enable an additional 9% reduction.

Adopting dietary change is the consumption intervention with the greatest potential for emissions reductions. Adopting a healthy diet (i.e. lowering meat and dairy intake) would contribute 60% of the emissions reduction (43% and 17% respectively), while the remainder is likely associated with reduced calorie intake, in line with health guidance, as well as the recommended alternatives. Additionally, avoiding household food waste and supply chain food waste would reduce current food related emissions by 10% and 5%, respectively

They literally want to control every aspect of our lives.

Each and everyone of the people pushing for this should be recognized as the enemy of freedoms that they are, and dealt with accordingly.

With the way they elect city council members in Austin its almost impossible to get a non progressive elected except in one district, maybe two. That's why they changed how it was done a few years ago.

I more and more believe that most of these numbers that the Enviro Wacko's spout are completely fabricated. I just do not believe that meat and dairy generate that much CO2 that it needs to be reduced or eliminated. I also do not believe that most people will be able to live long and healthy lives without meat and dairy products.

I believe that these Enviro Wacko's just want to control people and kill off a large portion of the population.

To make this believable

"0 private jet flights"
"0 corporate or business vehicles for transportation of individuals"
"0 housing greater than 3000 square feet for a family of four or less"
"1 servant per household"
"Limit to 80degF (min) in the summer and 65degF (max) in the winter for all public buildings, exception for schools and public day care"

add you own ...

there should be a pledge in Texas for all conservatives, that starts with protecting the innocence of children, and somewhere up near the top should also be the conservation of natural bloody meat for food.
