And the worst part is the platform in which people can pump this out to the masses. A small part of the massive problems with social media/smart phones/etc for children at impressionable ages. To a young child, they see some really cool transformation! While they lack any ability to think what this will mean a decade or more down the road

I think there is going to be all kinds of fallout. Lawsuits, suicides, murder/suicides...but also mass shooter type stuff...which we are already beginning to see it seems.

I just cannot understand why you would want to take action that would increase suicide among transgender youth and adults.

It would make more sense if Republican legislatures were proposing increased funding for youth mental health services along with their legislation taking gender affirming care away from youths, but they are not doing this either. And then so many young people come to believe a radical change will solve all of their problems and struggles or that becoming someone different they can pretend to be in a fantasy must be easier than being who they have been.

Most of the studies showing marked improvement from ".gender affirming care" were of questionable or poor quality or worse, have either been brought into question by contradictory results in other similar studies or had serious sampling or design and execution and analysis problems.

Academics and health officials in Europe have been looking at this with less political pressure and more objectivity and have concluded there is very little quality evidence these treatments have any measurable valid benefit for minors.

We just don't really know enough yet. The data is at best unclear. At best.

You act like once they do this everything is great for the rest of their lives. They can never be the opposite sex no matter what mutilations they do to their body or drugs they take. You know what happens if they quit taking the drugs?

Have you even paid any attention to all the people out there saying that they are in constant pain and bleeding?

Have you seen some of these sickos who are trying to breast-feed, but they were born male? It can't happen, ever. can you imagine the psychological and physical damage to those babies? They're being raised by mentally ill people.

If adults want to do these things to themselves that's one thing, it is still mental illness and disgusting. but anyone who has not completely gone through puberty. He has no business doing any of this because they can never get that back.

Yep. I honestly feel a lot worse for the girls who do this than the boys who cut their pecker off. A girl who pretends to be a guy typically has this vision that guys have such an easy life when they don't realize just how men are expected to just suck it up and compete or be discarded. Saw a girl my son grew up with who is doing this and it's just sad, she is just kind of an ugly "Pat" looking thing now and just hangs out with some of her same girl friends and still acts mainly like a girl wearing a costume. Just not a happy ending for the overwhelming majority of them, especially once the long term physical side effects kick in and they realize there is no return.

Yep, bragged about it on Facebook. Sweet little girl my son went to Kindergarten with who used to hug and love on him like little girls do. Then one day in 8th grade we get the "She's a He" post on FB. I've seen her a couple times since and it's just sad. We aren't close to the family just our kids knew each other when they were little, my son had lost any connection with her years ago other than having her in a class here and there.
