So visited the whole extended family this weekend and was talking with BIL's brother's wife. She was going on about how the Maui fires were proof of climate change and we have to do SOMETHING (of course)

So I tell her my position which I've stated many times on here.

That I'll believe in climate change and a climate emergency when the elites start acting like there is one. I said "If they believe what they're selling us, why does Obama have one sea side McMansion now and is building a second one both just yards away from the surf?

Her answer: "No he doesn't"

I thought she misunderstood my point but no. She does not believe Barack Obama owns two McMansions next to the ocean. Because he believes in the seriousness of climate change and knows the coasts will be flooded by evil CO2 melting the ice caps.

I showed her the images. She said that was right wing propaganda and that at most he owns the land but would NEVER own or live in a home by the ocean because he knows it will be underwater in a few years.

They've reached the point where they willfully won't accept photos or any other facts that contradict their religion and it was an incredibly disturbing experience
