Yes. I grew up in a small oil town in west Texas. As blue collar as one can get. We had a girl named Janice who is several years older than I am. She got out of high school around 1968. She was liked by all and was a hard worker.
Everyone knew she was different but none of us kids had ever heard of a gay person much less a trans person. Shortly after high school she went somewhere, and for some reason I'm thinking Sweden, and had surgery to transition.
After that, "he" came back to that very small blue collar town as Jay. Everyone accepted Jay as he was the same person as before and was still a hard worker.
Jay still lives in that little town.
Pertinent because I don't think those surgeries were available in the US. That is why Jay had to go overseas.

Yes, even Aggie graduates. One graduated with an engineering degree, was a member of the Corps, served as a lieutenant in the Army, earned a J.D. and took the bench as a judge.

It's one thing to let your kid be themselves, whether it's a phase or not….it's another to force it on them or pressure them so that you can get Hollywood street cred and parade them around like little virtue signaling trophies.
