"Amazon [US:AMZN] has a new way to try to make itself a central part of your life: your hand.

By the end of this year, you'll be able to scan your palm at any of the company's more than 500 Whole Foods stores in the U.S., and join a service called Amazon One. Once enrolled, your hand is all you'll need to pay there,..."

You think scanning your fingerprint to unlock your phone is the mark of the beast? What about biometric safes? Are those the work of the devil as well?

Not that i want to participate, but my fingerprints are not the mark of the beast.

It's biometric data in a centralized database controlled by the government tied to digital currency.

This is simply a big step in that direction. People get used to buying or selling not with a card or a phone but with their hand, ie biometric data tied to them.in a computer.

It should be obvious but I guess it's not to some.

Those are wrong as well. Always have been.

I was fingerprinted in the very early 80s as part of my background check for admission to one state's bar after I passed the bar exam. As a professional, had no issue with it back then.

Now? Different animal altogether. Not a method of law enforcement, it is now a method of Beria type of targeting.

I have few doubts that Bryan Kohberger killed those coeds but can it be proven?

Why would you need a microchip? Perhaps you should contact Amazon and inform them that you need a microchip installed instead of simply reading a palm.

We have a cashless society, bucko. I haven't used physical cash in years. Where have you been?

Your fingerprint and palm print have always been a part of you. A person must freely accept the mark of the beast to buy and sell in the end times. It's coming, but palm scanners isn't it.

Don't see an issue. People's fingerprints and biometrics are a very secure way to conduct business in the modern world. Better than paper checks or money or cards that can be stolen or forged.

Not sure how you can do the mark of the beast pearl clutching on something that you are born with.

Well, I think the more important aspect is what protections we have when using fingerprint to open a device vs passwords. Ultimately, the government can compel you to unlock a device with your face or a fingerprint, but not a passcode.

Do you really think it's a tattoo or a chip or a sharpie mark? LOL , no!

It's not an actual mark. It's biometric buy in to a global economy controlled by a global government run by Satan himself.

Amazon is doing something that has never been done before. Nobody is using biometric identity for the purchasing of products or services until now. The vacuous, idiotic responses in this thread help me understand why most will take the "mark".

It sure sounds like you're bending the words of the Bible to fit your belief.

"Well the mark isn't actually a mark, its really just your hand. I know what God SAID, but this is totally what he MEANT "

Where do you get that the mark of the beast isn't actually a mark? How would a discerning person identify someone who didn't take the mark if it is just your hand?

Like ol ag 2 I'm not going to sign up for this, but the reaction is pretty wild.

I don't give a sh** about any this "mark of the beast" stuff. But I am not willfully giving my biometric data to big tech. My chipped cards work just fine. Cash works even better. I have no plans for transactions with a finger or retinal scan.

At 49 I may just be able to run the clock out without having to.

You probably use biometrics everytime you open you phone, download an app, or pay for something with your credit card info on your phone.

Open the curtains, turn off cable news, and go outside.

Curiously, I don't I do and I am not all up in arms about this topic. Still unlock my phone, laptop, pad, with a pass code.

I have had the enhanced Texas ID for almost three years now and I guess it is biometric as the "photo" is not even a photo but a digitized representation of your face. Gotta redo our passports soon and I believe they are the same now too.

In the end, between the BATFE, FBI, DOD, State of Texas/DPS, and our local ISD, I have submitted freely so much of myself that it really just doesn't matter a bit anymore.

I just don't want to give big tech anything more than they have already spent 25 years data mining from me.

Nobody has my bio data stored for the purposes of commerce.

If you can show me where this palm POS technology is ubiquitous, please do so.

Amazon is the first to do this. It's never been done before. It's new. That's why it's a story in the WSJ.
