That should be paid by anyone who either approved of her hiring or did not speak out against it. Then they should be fired and lose their retirement benefits. The way we do contracts, be thankful we didn't give her a contract extension.

I find it quite notable that OGC's investigation timeline begins in May, 2023 - AFTER the initial offer to McElroy was already on the table.

Nothing about the review process of other potential candidates, what the expected qualifications were for the job, OR the individuals and/or determination factors that contributed to making the initial offer.

It seems to me if we're going to investigate, we should investigate and report on the ENTIRE hiring process of Ms. McElroy, not simply the last part.

If it keeps a far left leaning, DEI activist out of the position, I'm fine with it. The hiring process was messed up but at the end of the day, if they can hire a dean that is neutral politicly or even better a little on the conservative side, it's money well spent.

Fix the oversite of the hiring process that caused this mess to begin with and move on. My only worry is they go back and hire someone just as bad as her anyways and all of this was for naught. The next hire will be where we see if A&M is indeed heading in the direction that most of us hope it is.
