It doesn't matter in the election was stolen or not. He has the right to express his opinion.
The thing is, how does ANYBODY know for sure if the election was stolen, or to put it another way, if there were enough fraudulent votes cast to allow Biden to win? The elections are not conducted in an auditable fashion, and this was made more the case in 2020 by the democratic party activists in an effort, in their words, "to make it easier to vote". Which also makes it easy to commit fraud and harder or impossible to audit the vote. Ballot harvesting and ballot drop boxes, along with mass mailings of ballots to any name that was ever present on any list, often make voting fraud quite easy and virtually undetectable.
This was Trump's warning before the election. And he wasn't able to stop them from doing it.
This was his frustration on Jan 6th and he is still obviously incredibly frustrated by it. Trump STILL believes the election was fraudulent, so an effort in court to prove he knew the election was legit on January 6th, and that everything he did was simply to overturn a rightful election, seems absurd. NO ONE truly knows the full extent of everything that went on in 2020. There is no way to really know and that was/is at least partially by design.
It's pretty disappointing that FOX has decided to take a stance on not discussing the election. I assume their lost lawsuit has something to do with that. Free speech takes yet another hit. It isn't necessary to claim the election was stolen, as the democrats did in 2016 on a widespread basis, but it seems quite reasonable to investigate areas where the legality of the voting was questionable or cannot be verified- if for no other reason than to help us improve our voting procedures and prevent fraud, something only one party wants to do. Such efforts seem to have been delegated to conspiracy theorists instead of any mainstream media. Just because many claims have been falsely made about the election doesn't mean that others are not true or that there aren't other problems that haven't been fully explored.
Does anyone think that if the progressive democrat activists could fraudulently cast or count votes, without any possibility of being caught, against Donald Trump, that they wouldn't? Do rank and file Democrats actually believe that?
I'm sure there are republican groups that would do the same (but there aren't as many well organized groups), and they don't have the same media and institutional cover, and that would greatly reduce their odds of getting away with it.
The bottom line: Trump may be right about the election and it is likely not provable either way. Prosecuting him for believing that is absurd, of course. Not doing anything about potential voter fraud is also absurd and until we do, no election can be trusted.
