It's unfathomable that anyone would think that person deserves to be involved in the education of journalism students. Do what you have to do to keep A&M (and journalism schools in general) free from people like that.

Then find the rat(s) who promised her a job, and write them farewell checks too.

They aren't paying for and loss or damages, pain or suffering. Assuming they pay her anything, it would be for a non-disclosure agreement.

The Board President should just come out say we dodged a bullet by not hiring a race hustler and quit playing defense on this issue.

Thus, she wasn't harmed and shouldn't be provided any compensation. The first offer letter was for something that would ostensibly allow her to do something (DEI) that, at least very soon, will not be allowed by state law. Thus, it is for all intents and purposes null and void. She's also made comments, I believe, to the extent that she doesn't want to come to A&M anymore.

Definitely quite a mess. I think they payout is probably more about making the faculty folks feel better than anything, I could see how the way she was treated if she gets nothing out of it will be worse than giving her some NDA settlement. Black eye either way though, just have to decide who you want more pissed at you.

Who amongst us could do our jobs as bad as what we've seen as of late and get away with it?

This poster's favorite part about the whole deal is the mad rush by the BOR to come out and explain how this happened and what went wrong.

Might well squeeze a settlement out of 'em to stop posting on this thread.

Huh? Her race never entered into the consideration to rescind the job offer. Her ****ty philosophies on the purpose of journalism did.

Secondly-
Getting caught red handed means there is no doubt as to the guilt of the individual.

"Caught red handed VERY POSSIBLY being racist" doesn't even make sense.

You can't get caught red handed POSSIBLY doing something. The two phrases contradict each other. However due to your take I am not surprised that fact escaped ur mental faculties.

Until people at the top of any organisation learn to have a backbone and tell hucksters, media and race baiters that this is what happened and we stand behind it, then those organisations will always be shaken down.

Until those whining stop taking things as fronts against their race etc, we will never progress .

You can somtimes not be the right fit, can be unqualified, and sometimes come across as self promoting or even an arsehole and not get a job or promotion when you are of any race or color. And when you don't deal with your own character, you won't progress.
