Ya, no books are "banned" in this country. They are available for purchase just like any other book.

What they mean when they say "MAGA extremists are banning books" is that we won't allow animated homoerotic pornography in elementary school libraries.

"Right" book banning: gender queer and other gay porn books from public elementary school libraries because children don't need to be sexualized at a young age

"Left" book banning: literary classics like "To Kill A Mockingbird" because it's harmful for black children to read about a black man needing to be saved and defended by white knight Atticus Finch

The FBI, NIH, CDC, FDA, and elected officials (mainly Democrats, but some Republicans during Trump), worked with Google, Facebook, Twitter, Microsoft, and other companies to censor Americans (conservatives, doctors, and more), this ramped up during the last presidential election and continued curing Covid. All of this is well documented, if you are unaware then maybe you need to get up to speed.*


Twitter even had a special dashboard for officials to login and work directly with the company.

The left is great at using inflammatory language and has the bullhorn to set the narrative.

The right doesn't want tax money spent in subversive, pornographic, or valueless books.
The right doesn't want public schools to carry nor promote books or ideas which aren't edifying to children.

Opposition to the left's new books, rewritten history, or inappropriate material is a curriculum issue - an issue that the left is clearly in the wrong on - but by framing it as a "book banning" issue they can get public support to subvert the public.

Google up the American Library association and their list of "banned and challenged" books.

As said above, anytime anyone challenges a book at any level, it is placed on the ALA's list of "banned" books.

This includes an atheist who doesn't want a Bible in a library. Or a fundamentalist Christian who asks for Harry Potter to be removed because it promotes witchcraft.

Doesn't matter if the book is removed or age restricted, or simply left alone. It goes on the list.

They even list books that normal people feel are too sexually explicit for young children, and request the books not be in elementary school libraries

The right's problem with banning books is that they don't do it enough, or at all for that matter.
