Woman claims she sees a toddler in the side of the road. Calls 911. Police show up. No woman. No toddler. But her car is found, along with phone , Apple Watch, AirPods.

This story is wild. It sounds like the toddler was bait. They got someone to pull over to check on a kid and then ambushed them. Terrifying to think about.

I don't know, I think something nefarious did happen to her but that the media coverage blew up too much and they let her go. A witness saw a light complected male at the scene, she left her cell phone, car, and other items behind, and she, by limited information, was a responsible person. Time will tell...

She apparently ran off and left her car open and running.

It's not too big a stretch to imagine a Good Samaritan stopping to check on an abandoned car. Or even a thief, with no connection to the disappearance, trying to take advantage of an opportunity.

At this point I don't buy the witness report of a light skinned guy standing near her car. Eye witness accounts aren't always reliable, especially when it's dark and they're driving 60 mph down the highway. Plus they have video of the 3 minutes between when she stopped her car and when the cops showed up.

I would think any explanation other than a mental breakdown or cry for help is going to be bizarre.

Mental health break down where she removes her phone, watch and weave and leaves it at the scene? Maybe it was only a wig, but that is the part of the story that gets me. Mental issues would have to be pretty far gone for a black woman to take that off and leave it at the scene.

I would not be surprised if this just disappears with no further discussion. Considering there are no public announcements to be careful, aware, or to watch out for anything tells me the authorities don't think there are people out their using toddlers on the side of the road to bait women into being kidnapped.

Still doesn't prove she was kidnapped, just that she is maintaining that claim. Either possibility remains.

The entire story is very odd and nothing she or her family says should be automatically accepted as true.
