Doctors are being trained to do this. Keep in mind doctors of course do develop a bit of a "God complex" quite often/naturally when it comes to their intelligence/expertise in the office.

If the medical community is all in on this, I'd just as soon socialize medicine completely, including having the docs work for the government. They are doing the government's bidding anyway.

Disagree. At least right now you have some choices still as to who to see/coverage/where to go.
