The letter states that, despite several university officials knowing of Savala's past sexual crimes, they did not ban him from their campuses, nor did they inform students of his acts. In fact, it said that several representatives with knowledge of Savala's crimes were involved in a letter-writing campaign seeking leniency for Savala.

The letter states, "Since 2012, Savala's background as a sex offender is known to Chi Alpha Ministries and the Assemblies of God denomination"

They should ban Chi Alpha Mimistries from campus.

The press will just repeat church, minister, boy victims. But they will not mention these two were gay.

It's not nearly as bad as what happened, but it's pretty disgusting how people rush to go read the story to find out the sex of the victims to see if they can make a political point.

The problem with this case is that the church knew about this person's actions and took numerous steps to not just cover it up but to defend this piece of *****

Who knew what, and when?

Associative hyperbole poisons the whole thing for me. Should Texas A&M go about banning single individuals from campus based on someone on payroll having heard an accusation against them?

Pedophiles are legally barred from proximity to elementary schools - but are we supposed to hire lawyers to supersede our own legal system to bar the accused from setting foot on a campus for adult students?

Keep it between the rails and I'll join the lynch mob. But on this Independence Day let's at least exist within the principles of justice that made our nation great.
