Yes they do. If I tell someone to quit walking forward because there is a weird drop off/cliff ahead that can't be seen till you're tumbling the facts do matter because facts are Truth, or they are real.

There needs to be HONEST debate of many contemporary topics, yet I only see conservatives making the rounds on the debate stages, and leftists running away from debate. The Right needs to hammer them in public on the debate stage. The trick is getting the scared leftists to even show up.

Facts don't matter in a debate that is predicated on illogical fear and feelings.

No matter how many times actual hard data is presented to hard core gun control nazis, it is ignored completely. Because logic is not a component of their mindset - they are driven by illogical fear, and fear only. And that fear is seeded and fostered by those that would wipe their ass with the constitution given the opportunity to do so.

Additionally - facts need to be open and transparent and not clouded by things that we find icky and are incapable of talking about. Things like race, culture, etc. Because those factors play a massive role in the factual numbers, but since they cannot be discussed due to feelz, we are once again at a point where facts don't matter.

Facts only matter when the person viewing the facts has the mental capability to analyze and interpret the facts devoid of personal bias, pre-existing fears or to have independent thought. Which means none of the left can digest facts.
