It's incredibly telling that when given the chance to just say "no," Garland chose to hedge instead. After all, the question isn't just whether Weiss had the authority to make decisions or not, but whether other DOJ officials, including possibly Garland, interfered in those decisions in some way.

That's the charge that Shapley made in his testimony, which was given under oath before Congress. So who's telling the truth? In response, Shapley put out a statement via his lawyers that can only be described as calling Garland's bluff.

Astonishingly, Shapley is now actually naming the six witnesses present at the meeting in question, including members of the FBI and IRS investigative teams that were working the Hunter Biden case. That certainly adds to his credibility. If he weren't telling the truth, there's very little reason to believe Shapley would be naming names and essentially challenging others to go under oath about what was said.

Call me cynical, but I wouldn't be surprised if this is some kind of orchestrated political shenanigans. Maybe I'm wrong, but the dems really need to get rid of Biden. I see two options:

1. If Biden runs again, it's obvious to anyone with two brain cells that he's not running the country. And there's some sort of deep state operating in the shadows.
2. Get rid of him and they can try to regain some credibility.

I mean, the left has to notice this right? He's senile. He's a creep. He's said some remarkable things in the past about race and homosexuality. And by far worst of all; he's an old, white, male. Based on the criteria they keep saying matters so much, he's just about the worst possible candidate.

Of course, as another poster said, most dems would vote dem on a ballot that simply said: "democrat candidate X."

The left doesn't vote for a candidate now. The party picks the candidate and they vote for the candidate the party picks. It was rigged for Hillary in 2016. In 2020, it was rigged for Joe. If you recall, everyone dropped out before Super Tuesday to give it to Biden.

Yes, they go through the motions, but their entire primary season is a charade now.

Throw in ballot harvesting and changing voter laws via the state executive branches, and presto, 81 million for a lying vegetable.

So investigate the investigation and see if that's prolongs things enough for people to lose interest.

This all sounds encouraging, BUT

it all depends on Republicans having a spine. Remember the one thing you can count on with Republicans and that is that they can't be counted on.

They will never do anything of consequence against a Democrat.
