Rather see us invade Mexico, pushing them all into South America.

Good topic. We should put the hammer on Cuba. Blockade. Remember the Monroe Doctrine. Our nation especially under the dems have screwed up royally when it comes to Cuba. The very idea of letting Castro and his family run that country into the ground for over 60 years is idiocy. I feel the same way about Mexico. Drugs, drugs, etc.

We can't fix Latin America even we install our hand picked leaders.

Mexico has been the "free" next door neighbor of the greatest nation to ever grace the planet and they are still a 3rd world hole with their citizens desperately trying to escape.

Dear OP:

China has paid Biden handsomely to allow them to do basically whatever they want unopposed

So your question is moot

No, simply because we are being invaded ourselves and don't have the resources to handle two fronts.
Stop the invasion at the Texas border and I might change my mind.

Umm, watch the documentary about the HSBC being the Cartel Bank and watch the Maria Van Zandt on Fentanyl.

The Chinese have full operations going in n in Mexico, both
legit and not so legit.

Don't need to invade. Just implement a blockade.

We need to go Monroe Doctrine 2.0. I'm fine pulling back assets further away from China as a quid pro quo if we would put focus on the western hemisphere and quit flat out ignoring it.

No but use diplomacy to stop Chinese interests from expanding so close to us.

Question as I have no idea. Can Cuban airports handle large cargo jets? Runways long enough?

Havannah has a 2.5 mile long runway. Damn near long enough to land the space shuttle.

Another 2 mile concrete military runway.

Many others over a mile long.

An embargo would do nothing.

Lol, they own 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. What do we do about that expansion?

They released a virus that killed millions and we did nothing. They fly spy balloons over the US and nothing.

Diplomacy..... lololol

Why invade?Does the US still own Guantanamo Bay?

It has been permanently leased to the United States since 1903 as a coaling station and naval base, making it the oldest overseas U.S. naval base in the world. The lease was $2,000 in gold per year until 1934, when the payment was set to match the value in gold in dollars; in 1974, the yearly lease was set to $4,085.

Well, I did say blockade and not embargo. As in post up some Naval assets for interference and tell China any aircraft inbound will not be allowed to land.

I did not know that, thanks for the information. Unfortunately, at my age with brain cells vanishing I probably won't remember this within a week.

Won't know until we try!

But, seriously, that goes back to my point that if we pivoted some of our focus back to our own backyard and away from China's they probably wouldn't be this provocative.

I realize what I'm saying here would never happen as our government clearly has zero interest whatsoever in the Western Hemisphere. Which baffles me, frankly. The US population is going to be majority Hispanic in the near-term and we have almost zero policy when it comes to the WH.

China is an economic disaster that is just getting worse. They are currently making rate cuts hand over fist to try and kickstart their economy and none of it is working. We need to flip focus to the WH. It's more relevant to us than anywhere else.

Little known fact: the Cuban missile crisis was facilitated by our missile deployment in Turkey.

Not saying the soviets' response was correct, but there is a lot of give and take in the arms game.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cuban_Missile_Crisis#:~:text=Fifteen%20US%2Dbuilt%20PGM%2D19,deployed%20in%20Turkey%20in%201961.
That fact is/was very much known by me. It's a big, global chess game. Give and take all over, with all parties trying to decide what tactics align with the best long and short term strategy.
