I have a lot less of an issue with this. Pride parades have been around a long time and only recently seem to have this focus on children. I don't like it but I can't get Bud Light angry about this and I think it is also important to be strategic in outrage. If you just protest everyone you protest no one eventually.

I mean how the protests of Bud Light have effectively destroyed the brand and damaged the company severely. Essentially the move against BL went nuclear and they have been made an example of. You may agree or disagree with that but that's a different discussion. The point is you can't go to that extent against every company that does anything you don't like or else it lessens the impact of the protest itself. People can walk up and decide to not buy Bud Light but if you expect the masses to go to the grocery store with a list of beers they will or won't buy based on politics that movement will fail over time.

Strategy is important in protests.

Who cares? Why should we care?

So many still don't get it.

It's not that BL sponsored pride events or the LGBTwhatever community in general. It's that they very specifically associated their product with a trans twink acting fruity in bathtub. A product that you actually, physically, hold in your hand and consume via your mouth. It was the proverbial bridge too far. It made BL both gay and trans, all wrapped in one, to millions of men. That simple.

A buddy of mine has a home one street over from Elvira (Cassandra Peterson) in Slidell, LA. I drove by her place when I was there this past NYE and she has this huge storage container in her backyard full of all her old props. I was surprised to learn that she is a lesbian (and that she lives in Slidell of all places).

If you drink beer or drive cars and have any taste or standards at all, you're not drinking Coors or driving a Nissan.

I thought the right was against cancel culture?

It also didn't help when BL's marketing VP basically told their core market they were no longer needed

I drink very little beer anymore but when I do it's typically a Guinness. Hopefully, they aren't grooming kids and supporting trans insanity, but I suspect someone will prove to me shortly they are as into this as anyone.

I've been contemplating switching to hard liquor.
Looks like these woke beer companies are going to push me over the edge.

Just deciding how far to go. I heard from a British mate that real alcoholics drink gin.

Big Flats is still a very cheap beer and available.

Although even when stores get ransacked, Big Flats gets left behind.
