I play the videos on mute while I watch TV or surf Texags and then take the quizzes and usually pass and if I don't I just retake the test until I pass it. I don't think HR tests are supposed to be hard they just want you to prove you actually did the module.

I'm pretty sure most collegiate level sociology classes have tests that could be passed by kids in middle school.

And no they don't need sociology classes. Nobody does.

I turn the videos to 2x and try to get through them as quick as possible. But there are plenty of people out there that struggle with the concepts. Ours are mostly around IT security

If the video allows you to skip ahead then I go to 2 seconds left in it so the video will finish and the "Completed" button will allow me to press it to go to the next video.

Those tests aren't designed to test competency, they are designed to test whether or not the person answering the questions actually watched the the material presented, because whoever assigned that material believed it was important for the watcher to understand.

Since your 11 year old watched the material and read all the slides it sounds like the tests performed exactly as as intended. So if we are making judgments on society based on the test, I would say job well done by the test creators for meeting their objective.

What does it say about society that we have employees with so little respect for their employers that instead of watching materials assigned by the employer they have their 11 year old children watch the materials instead? Maybe just find another job or start your own business and be your own boss if you think your employer is such a joke.

I guess there are some "true believers" out there who think these types of videos do good.

Beyond the true believers, the purpose of these videos is squarely in the litigation side of the company. Think broadly and from a defense perspective. "We made these 12 videos MANDATORY training for all employees. We are doing everything we can to prevent XYZ from happening. Look how virtuous we are."

...while every sane person clicks through the trainings and rolls their eyes...

Kind of my point. If OP works for a woke morally bankrupt corporation that he doesn't respect, why is he still working there? Leave. That's the only way to fix it.

OPs post was asking what the annual HR tests say about society. I think it says a lot more about society that people are working for employers they don't respect. Not necessarily a criticism of OP.

For our online training, our company allows you to take the test first, if you want. If you don't pass, then you have to take the course.

If you prove you know the material, then obviously you know the material.

There is only one of our many courses we have to take where this isn't the caes.

I have to re-take the same BS training every year. I recently had one for ISO-14001, some environmental and recycling standard. You can't jump straight to the test. You must click through each slide, and there is timer until you can click next. I open it in a side window and click through slides as I'm working on something else.

Usually I can get through the test, especially if you need 80% to pass. This one required 100%, so I had to re-try a couple of times. Bastages deliberately re-order the multiple choice selections every time you take it.

HR is only teaches employees to not respect their employers.
