That's why they did it. Their intention was to put him out of business one way or another. He'll shut down due to bankruptcy or ATF audit. If there's no pushback, the feds will start picking off the rest of the independently owned gun shops.

I cannot recall where I saw this, but a while back, I read that FFL revocations were up something like 600%+ in 2022.

Before I left for work today, there was a curious report on the NBC Today show (I know, I know) about this wonderful thing happening in Bosnia. Even though the country is very divided, all sides agreed on a massive gun grab progam that included: a 2 year moritorium on ALL gun sales, a declaration making many firearms illegal, a massive national registration program, and an amnesty program encouraging the public to turn in any and all firearms they had.

Naturally, the story was positioned as this wonderful thing that Bosnia is doing, and Richard Engel lamented that this country, thanks to those EVIL gun manufacturers and NRA extremists, are way behind the curve of the enlightened, peaceful people of Bosnia.

At the time, I told my son it was strange to see that report this morning. Now it makes more sense.

I also told him that within 10 years, we'll be reading about genocide in Bosnia again - guaranteed.

This is legal speak for "anything and everything regardless of what the warrant was about.

Non-specific warrants are SUPPOSED to be unconstitutional. Seems like lawyers and judges have exactly zero concept of the US Constitution.

Forms are a proxy record of a transaction. Although maybe some of the forms ended in a failed transaction, the forms can be used to corroborate the financial books to some extent, as there should be some alignment between a sale and the background.

Even if not listed explicitly on the warrant, law enforcement will confiscate anything related they find or believe could be evidence.

All true. And they receive flak if they stray from their lane. This is how these things get out of hand. Everyone just does their job description. They never pay attention to what is happening in the adjacent cubicles. If they do, they are quickly reprimanded.

I have a friend that has been working for a government agency for about a year now, and she is having a lot of trouble with this. I doubt she is there much longer.

Tom Van Hoose was a fish in 1975-76. Wound up graduating from Hardin-Simmons University with BS & MS degrees in ministry & Business. A real straight shooter!
