There is a nefarious group that calls itself The 65 Project that has as its goal to intimidate lawyers into not representing Trump or anyone associated with him. They have threatened to file bar charges against any such lawyers. When these threats first emerged, I wrote an op-ed offering to defend pro bono any lawyers that The 65 Project goes after. So The 65 Project immediately went after me, and contrived a charge based on a case in which I was a constitutional consultant, but designed to send a message to potential Trump lawyers: if you defend Trump or anyone associated with him, we will target you and find something to charge you with. The lawyers to whom I spoke are fully aware of this threat and they are taking it seriously.

Conspiring to charge your political opponents with ridiculous process crimes you yourself are even more guilty of, Conspiring against someones constitutional right to an attorney, killing witnesses to your corruption,

Seeing as how he only hires the best people, and they keep on quiting on him; couldn't it just also be that he has no one left because of how he treats the ones he hires?

Also, he is known to not pay them if possible, so couldn't that also take into account his inability to get better lawyers?
There are in fact two things, science and opinion; the former begets knowledge, the later ignorance. Hippocrates

Sounds like racketeering conduct to me. The goal is to deny a criminal defendant of their constitutional rights. They have also threatened Jan 6th lawyers and election lawyers.

Trumps personal attorney, CFO, and campaign chair (among others) have all gone to prison for Trump.

Trump does not pay his debts.

Why would anyone work for him?

He needs to identify the individuals involved in the 65 project and make their names public and go after them hard. Trump has the right to representation the same as anyone else.

The swamp just loves to crap all over due process. If these folks are attorneys they ought to be disbarred at a minimum.

Are you saying Dersh is lying about being intimidated by these people and they are intimidating others?

Dershowitz literally explained how the group went after him and what their stated purpose is.

He's probably not lying, but nobody can represent trump without committing crimes so if they represent trump, they should be reported to bar associations.

MAGA = making attorneys get attorneys.

He "allegedly" wanted Corcoran to take boxes to his hotel room and pluck out the "bad" one.

He stiffs his attorneys.

Michael Cohen went Cooley Law School in Michigan. Every lawyer I know that went there is an idiot. It's basically an open door.

I don't know what happened to Alan D., but he's been a nut lately.
Yeah, yeah, I voted for this. :(

Filing false bar complaints is usually a crime. Threatening to file a false bar complaint should be harrassment.

If you represent Trump you are going to be asked to do illegal ****, it's your own fault if you get reported to the bar for that, not The 65 Project.

Well, that's about as anti-American of a statement you could make. You think Trump is not owed his constitutional right to representation? This has to be a troll post.

Just like with illegal voting and mail in ballots, a crime is only investigated IF the authorities want to call it a crime. These 65 Project Lib Attorneys all know that they aren't getting in trouble for anything criminal on this because the authorities won't see anything wrong to investigate.

Yep.

It is clearly against federal law for the protesters to target and threaten SCOTUS Justices. But Garland didn't GAF.

Certain responses to this thread solidify why I hate true believer liberals. They couldn't care less how their enemies (read: normal people aka conservatives) are destroyed. Just that they're destroyed. They're too short sighted to think what happens when they become an enemy to the left, just that their enemies are taken down.

Here's a hint liberals: what happens when the 65 project finds out you used the n word once in 1st grade after you get falsely accused of something and need a lawyer?

Just like Flynn was, right? Your appeal to authority falls flat when your authority is politically weaponized. I award your obfuscation attempt zero points. Go sit in a corner and rethink your life.

Attorney Michael Teter is the managing director of the 65 Project. He was previously a general counsel for Represent.Us, a left-of-center campaign finance regulation advocacy group, and he was an assistant attorney general in Utah. From 2006-2008, Teter was a litigation associate with Perkins Coie, a law firm with close ties to the Democratic National Committee. He worked as the Wisconsin state field director for the presidential campaign of John Kerry (D-MA) and managed the Senatorial campaign of former Sen. Herb Kohl (D-WI). Early in his career, Teter served as the deputy finance director of the California Democratic Party. 13

You're making crap up. You have no idea whatsoever what Trump's attorneys will be asked to do. Innocent until proven guilty used to matter. The right to representation used to matter. The Constitution and the rule of law used to matter.

Quit defending the indefensible. It's people with attitudes and beliefs like you that are ruining this country.

The fact that you care more about Trump's "crimes" instead of a 5 Million dollar bribe that Joe Biden took from Ukraine is a test of your character.

You voted for criminal and in his case there are clear tape recordings and bank records. Joe takes 5 million dollars and then gets the prosecutor in Ukraine fired. Now, this man that you voted for is president and you are more worried about a presidential records document dispute.

Every president over the past 40 years has had document disputes and only one of them ever faced felony charges. Get your head straight and stop being a stooge.
