It's still a national holiday and he's willing to celebrate all sorts of thing this month that are not national holidays. He could mention something if only for the optics.

Rotary Club of Denton. They plop a flag in my front yard every Flag Day.

Though this year they got lazy and just left them all in from Memorial Day.

When I was a Boy Scout in Amarillo, we weren't given that luxury. We had to remove them after Memorial Day, and then return at 5am on Flag Day to put them back in. As a 12 year old, I wasn't a fan of that.

I am celebrating flag day. It's flying high on the pole out front and I'm dayum proud of it.



We have 2 US flags but they are folded and are in our safe. One for my father I received at his burial in 06 and one that MZ R received at the burial of her father in 1983.........neither one would recognize the country they fought for as it is today

Removing the pride flag from it's dominant position over the American flags at the White House would be a decent start.

Then I don't know...maybe the President of the United States could participate in a small, 5-minute ceremony of saluting the flag while it's being raised this morning to the tune of the National Anthem?

After all the celebrating of trans people yesterday, is it really too much to expect the POTUS to give the Stars & Stripes a little recognition on the day that the US Government has declared for it to be officially recognized?
