I think y'all completely underestimate the average Texan. Not only are they proud Texans, but they are proud AMERICANS.

Get it on the ballot and watch it fail by 89 percent

The legislature has failed to even get an exploratory commission similar to Brexit on the ballot. They obviously have no desire to as most are all democrats to begin with.

Put it on the ballot. Let the people vote!

Excellent point, hopefully it gets to a ballot so you vote against it…

OP, you are better off trying to find one of the other 50 that is more conservative and head there. Texas is gone sociopolitically in the next 20 yrs. Hate to say it, but Cali-lite is on its way.

there will be some form of texit along with other segmenting of our country. and it won't be by choice this is the end goal for america. i believe america will be spilt into 4-5 state/countries before it is all said and done. when this will happen it is tough to say but i do believe that will be the inevitable outcome for america.

If Texas "breaks the seal" with secession, I guarantee you that the Permian Basin would secede from the rest of Texas.

They feel the same way about the rest of Texas as Texas feels about the rest of the United States.

Once the oil dries up that would be a 3rd-world country with a population of around 50K.

Agree but the PB in Texas won't have meaningful production anymore in 50 years regardless of energy policy, hopefully the Republic of Midland has a longer-term plan.

You realize that's exactly what everyone was saying . . . fifty years ago.

I think we should trade with Argentina. Texans go there and Argentinians come here. Everyone happy

Because who would want to be energy independent, pay no income taxes, and not be required to spend trillions on a global military and foreign aid.

Wouldn't it suck to have 1 dollar gas, plentiful electricity, no income tax, a low cost of living, and a secure border...

Please explain how you came up with $1 gas

The conservative Christian Nation of Texas will be like turning the light on: All the roaches will scatter.
