Based on that name I am going to assume he and his family were never slaves in this country, and if they were able to immigrate to this country they were probably one of the wealthier families. They never attempted to secede. It was briefly discussed but they chose to propose numerous amendments to the Constitution instead of rebelling.

And if we're looking at it objectively, they had a greater complaint regarding the federal governments violation of their rights over those in the South before the Civil War. Thankfully they kept a more rational thought process than the southerners. Or maybe we should be thankful the southerners didn't act rationally.

Non sequitur.

Any statues of King George that might have existed would have been erected by the monarchy, so when it was replaced by the Revolution, their removal would have been both appropriate and expected. There's been no Revolution to justify this recent rash of destruction and disrespect.
