I think that this stove thing is a ruse to not build anymore pipelines in certain areas mainly California and New England where nat gas is hard to get into and costly. Let's get rid of the item that is most used by these pipelines in the individual homes - gas stoves. Control factor 10 feel good factor 10. Now of course this govt is extending it to everyone because everyone should feel as good as they do.

The only exception to this is Joe Manchin's. Hmmmm

Every item in my home is natural gas, more efficient. They can suck it.

Maybe they should focus on USA recycling which is minimal or Canadian fires which are u healthy. Picture is 720 pm in alantic city. Smoke is terrible.

To be fair, gas heat also needs electric service to work. But yeah, I've always preferred gas.

I ran three gas furnaces and their blowers on one 6500 watt generator during the freeze two years ago. No way I do that for electric. There is no telling how many pipes freeze under this Biden stupidity. It will create a preventable disaster. Anyone who votes for dim scum is an f-ing moron!

I run across idiots on Nextdoor every now and then who start preaching to people on HVAC company recommendation threads about how electric heat is so much safer and better for your health. They talk about all the exhaust gases and how they can cause asthma, etc. I then remind them that gas furnaces have a heat exchanger and the air coming out of your vents is physically blocked from interfacing with the burners (which are exhausted outside). 99% of people making these indoor air quality arguments have no idea how gas heating even works but by all means let's take their advice because think of the children.

Worst, most tyrannical president ever!

That was Obama.

Also fjb
It's still obama. Rather, it's still whoever obama's handlers are. FJB is just the tired old facade they're putting in front of the evil pile of shlt this term.

******* won't do this with heating oil furnaces in areas where it might threaten a revolt against their power even though it has the exact same issues.
If the goal is to reduce CO2 production then heating oil is worse. Methane being CH4 only has one carbon for the four C-H energy bonds broken during combustion whereas C2H6 has two carbons per six bonds, C3H8 has three carbons per eight bonds, etc. When you have long chain hydrocarbons like heating oil the C to C-H bond ratio just keeps getting worse.

This is a thinly veiled war on the predominantly R-voting petroleum economy states. In this case it's an attack on the natural gas segment. The battle for coal has been won and they're slowly winning with ICE fuels and now natural gas. All in the name of man-made climate change BS. Complete BS...

Last edit - if you do the math, then natural gas (methane) puts about half the CO2 into the atmosphere per BTU of energy when compared to heating oil/coal/gasoline/diesel/etc. They probably went after gas stoves with the asthma angle because basic chemistry doesn't support the greenhouse gas production scam they're trying to peddle to the masses.

Thought this would add a little laughter to the day- listen to Fletch's words as he seems to be a prophet of today's times. Think of Chevy Chase as a govt official.
