AT4s are color coded. A thick yellow band is inert. The Anti armor live round is a thin gold band sandwiched by two black ones. The size alone of the yellow band is a dead giveaway. They are harmless and always were.

You aren't supposed to be able to buy them on the open market but it still happens every year. Also something like 20 odd nations use them including several Latin ones.

One of the random ass things I can actually say i have extensive experience in. At least more than most. Even a SME on them for a couple years .

Ugh. We don't know the facts here really. The video shows one thing but the comments indicate the post headline is misleading but we can't trust the fact checkers either. I wouldn't assume anything is true beyond what can be independently verified. There's a ton of propaganda out there from every angle right now preying upon confirmation bias.

Absolutely fake news. That is a factory made training model that has never had a live round in it and is not capable of it. That is not a bias laden guess. That is objectively factual.

Brazil and Columbia both use the AT4 along with a couple other Latin countries I can't recall off the top of my head. Just in the US alone, these training models and spent units, we called them dunnage, find their way into civilian hands often. It's a big no no but it still happens. They are just props at that point but people still love them as a novelty item. They have even popped up in gun buybacks which is hilarious to me.
